Adventurers Guild?!

"I gave you guys a chance to quiet down, but now you made a mess of Doug's bar, so I cannot go easy on you," I said, cracking my knuckles. Of course, I did not care about this pub, but I did hate that someone like this pudgy kid was able to throw me. Standing in a lax stance, I waited for the other party to make the first move.

"Oh, for someone who was thrown like a ragdoll across the pub, you sure can talk trash. Who are you to tell me what to do, a member of a royal family? I can easily have you beheaded with a whim, so you better not do anything foolish." the kid said, waggling one of his sausage fingers in my direction. Layering his arm again in a more dense layer of magic, I could assume that he is going to use that to create a sonic blast, as I was around the room.

He must know that that will destroy most furniture, right? Eh, I guess I should show a bit of my strength, as well as a deterrent from this fatass to bother me again. Lunging across the room at a fraction of my normal speed, I looked like a blur in the eyes of a normal human. Grabbing the royal pain in my ass, I lifted him by his collar and slid a tiny pill, compact with millions of my spores, down his throat.

"Now, listen to me very carefully, if you do not want to die. What I just gave you is something that could kill you anywhere, any time, by my command. If I see any royalty or authority messing with this place, or me, again, I will detonate it without hesitation. If you don't believe me, then take a glance at your minions." I said, snapping my fingers. Simultaneously, the three minions, who were confused and scared, exploded into a confetti of blood and tiny pieces of skull and flesh.

"So, will you listen to me and stay alive, or choose death?" I asked, releasing more killing intent, and flattening the hair on the boy's head.

"I-I swear! I won't get anyone to interfere with your or this pub ever again!" The kid squeaked, sounding like a literal pig. Of course, I could not trust his words, as he was just a prick like the rest of the nobility. Anyways, I lowered him down and jerked a thumb towards the door. I created a wind barrier between us and the blood spray of the minions, so he did not look bloodied or disheveled. Pretty good thinking on my part, if I do say so myself.

"Doug, do you have my breakfast ready yet?" I asked, a bit irritated that I did not get it yet. Well, it is all an act, but I get into the actual character sometimes. Out of habit. Seeing Doug crawl out from under the bar, a shaking bowl of soup in his hand, I walked over to him, took the breakfast with a thank you, and sat down in my original booth, leaving the dead bodies on the floor for Doug to clean up.

Speaking of which, after disappearing into the kitchen after hesitantly handing me the bowl of soup, he came out with a large, brown bag, about the size of three human males. I do not know where he got such a thing, or how he convinced someone to make it, but I guess it could be used for storing some meat.

Silently picking up the three headless bodies and fitting all the limbs inside the bag, he dragged it back through the bar flap and into the kitchen. Who knows, maybe a delicacy here is humans. Not that I would mind, as I am a monster now. Anyways, the soup I am currently eating is pretty good. The meat chunks add richness and the broth surrounding it adds some saltiness, moistening the meat to make the best soup combination I have ever had.

After finishing the meal, I brought the dishes over to the bar, leaving them for Doug to pick up. Having paid before, I just left the Lion's Den, looking to see what I could do to get a better rep in the kingdom. The first thought I had was, as I have seen, that the Royal family can use magic. If I wanted to know what it takes to be a royal, or someone with lots of influence, I would need to find out what an Adventurer is.

Flicking up my collar and straightening out my attire, I walked through the streets of this fine kingdom. After thirty minutes of walking around, I found a very tall building, which seemed to have a sign that was in big, bold letters, much bigger than the other signs. This could either be the bank, mayor's house, or an Adventurer thing. Focusing hard on the sign, I heard a familiar *ding*

Seconds later, I was able to see it clearly, like a fog was lifted. It said "Adventurer's Guild" in big, gold letters. With the number of people coming in and out of the establishment, I would assume correctly that it is mandatory for people that have magic affinity to be Adventurers, or whatever they are called. Walking slowly to the entrance, I was given some strange looks by the others entering and exiting the guild as well.

As soon as I pushed open the wooden door, I was assaulted by many different voices, conjoining into a cacophony of white noise. Pushing through some groups of 'Adventurers', I made it to a big round bar-like circle, filled with women with uniforms on, which I could only assume was the mandatory uniform for this place. I guess women are largely populating these jobs, as the other ones might be too physical or out of their skill range. Then again, this establishment is as big as a school, which makes it possible for a lot of jobs to be taken.
