"I'm going back to organize the police force, to crack this case with the people from the Xinshan branch office."
"No need, we've already found a clue."
"You've found a clue?" Ling Han's expression was filled with surprise.
"The driver involved in the accident abandoned the car and ran away, but he's already burned the vehicle. I'm getting ready to go over and take a look."
"I'll go with you," Ling Han said without a second thought.
"Let's go."
The two walked out of the hospital together and got into Lin Yi's car, heading towards the suburbs.
Lin Yi drove fast, and in just over half an hour, they reached the suburbs. There was nobody around, and ahead was a highway that stretched as far as the eye could see.
They had driven for more than an hour before Lin Yi finally stopped the car.
Ling Han looked around; there were no signs of life, and the passing vehicles were sparse, lending an eerily quiet feeling.
