We are having the time of our lives with Sylvia this evening. It is so cozy with just us three girls, and the conversation is buzzing. Of course, the subject keeps looping back to my upcoming date. 


“You really should get him to just meet you here so that we can scrutinize him,” Sylvia cocks one eyebrow up and smiles as she teases me, exposing the lipstick on her teeth.


“Um, Sylvia, you have something…” I try and interject to tell her about the bright pink lipstick on her teeth while trying not to giggle. 


“We should plan a dinner party too!” Cass says enthusiastically. “We can invite everyone that I’ve been getting to know at work, we can even invite my boss.”  


As soon as Cass mentions Brett, my gut begins to stir. He was so dismissive of me. “I don’t know if that’s a very good idea, Cass, he was so rude to me.”
