“What’s wrong?” Fyn asked, his voice husky with passion.
“Shhh,” she whispered back.
There was no sign of desire in her now. Nothing but complete and utter fear consumed her at that moment.
Rowan stayed as still as she could. Her entire mind stretched out to the animals around her. The first time she had heard Burger bark, she had paid it no attention. She was too consumed with the pleasure that Fyn was invoking in her. But the next words that floated into her mind seemed to be something out of her deepest nightmares, and she was immediately snapped out of the sensual haze.
-Rowan! People are here! Person… a person is here! In the woods!- Burger shouted in her head.
It WAS her nightmare.
Rowan had to push Fyn away to focus on Burger and hopefully catch what he saw. But though he was considering the smell, he didn’t recognize it. The closest he could come was it was like Fyn but slightly different.
“What’s going on, Rowan?” Fyn asked again.
