Chapter 58: One More Night

Fyn leaned forward. “I need your help. One of the men that Rowan has spoken of and that I saw in town is familiar. Every time I try to figure out how I know him, I can only remember one thing about him. He had extremely dark, almost soulless eyes. They look like a shifter's eyes before the shift finally takes them over. It is like he would keep his eyes in such a way to scare people, to intimidate them. I KNOW, I know him. But I can’t remember where I have seen him. Whenever I think of his eyes, I feel an almost paralyzing fear.”

Cass sat back in his seat and seemed to think on Fyn’s words for a while. But Cass ended up just shaking his head.

“I have no idea who you are talking about. I can’t remember anyone that scared me that much. But I will keep thinking.”

“Thank you, brother,” Fyn replied.

“It’s what family is for. If you remember to ask for help, that is,” Cass subtly chastised him.
