Chapter 104: Bedtime

The meeting with the parents portion of the day actually went extremely well. It didn’t take long for Fyn to win Rowan’s parents over. But what really blew her mind was Fyn’s sudden decision to tell her parents about his world.

“I’ve always been curious why your family is so closed off to the rest of the world? My grandfather figured it was a religious thing. But I wasn’t really sure if that was all the reason,” Wayne asked him.

“We are hiding because it keeps us safe. See, we are shifters, animal shifters. My people, the ones who live on your land, are wolf shifters. To keep our people safe, we stay far away from society.”

“Fyn!” Rowan gasped.

Fyn put his hand over hers and squeezed it. “Sweetheart, as you and I have both said. No more secrets. I do not wish for you to have to live your life in secret from your parents. If they know about your gift, they should know about mine also.”
