The Favored Vanity

Ryan's life changed after the accident, from a promising college student to a minimum wage cashier. Disabling  his right arm affected Ryan more than he ever imagined due to him  being one of the top rankers in glory. Thanks to his great hand eye coordination and reflexes he was one of the top rankers in glory.

Glory was one of the most  famous talked about games of the time so this gave Ryan a lot of fame and money, but all that changed after a rival attacked him with a knife and disabled his right arm, sadly doctors said they was no hope to repair his arm. Glory was an MMORPG that  required players to make use of both their arms to execute  maneuvers and skills.

So losing an arm dropped Ryan's skill level so low than even a beginner could kick his ass.

What hurt Ryan the most was after the accident all the sponsors pulled out and even the so called friends of his stopped contacting him.
