Give It Away (2)

Thea approached Basax's plaza. Chanting in her ancestors' language she drew upon the winds, called for the clouds, summoned the wildlife. Her light from eyes no longer rivaled with the Sun, it surpassed it.

The strange sight caught the Zephferns' attention; they were both terrified and mesmerized. A wave of light crashed on the town. Thunder set houses ablaze, wind spreading the fire which slowly wrecked chaos in Basax.

In the midst the destruction, no cry could be heard.

The chanting picked up in pace, lightning striking to the tempo of the song. Vines grew from the ground, wrapped themselves around those trying to escape.

A final explosion of pure energy coursed the village. Silence reigned. Fires had been extinguished as quickly as they had appeared. Houses saw trees growing through them.

Piles of clothes littered the ground. Not a single soul could be seen.
