Angels and Roses, a supernatural romance adventure, follows Parker Whittier, a young woman whose unique physical traits make it difficult for her to fit in, traits she inherited from the father who abandoned her long ago. “Thanks for eating lunch with me today,” Lissa said. “I’ve been busy, but I know that is no excuse to be distant.”


Parker sat down across from Lissa, opening her lunch bag and taking a peek inside. 


“It’s okay, Lissa. Field hockey season is always busy,” Parker said. She still wasn’t completely trusting of Lissa wanting to be her friend again. This was the first time they had really had a talk. 


“Well, maybe we could do this once a week?” she asked. “I mean, Damien can come if he wants, but I like having a little girl time.” Parker smiled across the table. 


“Okay, I’d like that,” she said with a nod. 


Lissa spent the lunch hour updating her on the new boy she had a crush on and what her field hockey season was looking like. They talked about classes, but Parker shied away from the topics of Damien and Lucien. She didn’t want to talk about the thing that caused them to have their big fight.
