After A Long Wait

[This chapter took a while]

In the Carter Duchy's private training room…

*Clang* *Clang*

Small sparks of light can be seen due to striking of two sword surface at a fast pace smell of metal surrounded the atmosphere of the room, the ones responsible for such a scene were currently immersed in their regular spar, this time it was a 1 vs 2, Alan was currently sparring with Hannah and Juna at the same time. It was now a regular occurrence for them, as Alan wanted to be strong as fast as possible and he also wanted his Lovers to be strong as well, because in case he wasn't present with them they would at least be able to stay safe, losing them was the last thing he wanted.

A smirk can be seen on Alan and Juna's faces because they loved to fight and they can continue as long as they wanted if they have the stamina to do so, whereas Hannah wore an expressionless face, which was useful in battles as the opponent will not be able to grasp what she is thinking and planning to defeat the other one.

Alan was amazed seeing them fight as they both were in sync covering each others' weaknesses and giving him fewer chances to land a proper hit.

'They have become stronger, especially Juna, the rate at which she adapts to the situation is terrifying, I can understand why she became one of the strongest in her kingdom at such a young age.'

'And then there is Hannah, her movements are smooth and nearly flawless, she has very few openings and with her expressionless face it is tough to read what she is thinking.'

The strikes from their blades send gusts of wind in a random direction, the state of the ground beneath them was so bad someone would think they are not having a normal spar but facing a do or die battle, the training room was intact in one piece thanks to the Magic barrier surrounding the place.

According to Alan one can grow exponentially and overcome their limits if they face a do-or-die situation, but this method was not for weak-willed ones, but it was not the same for twins they had a strong will and resolve from the starting, which only increased after they met with Alan, after all, they didn't want to be a burden on him.

"Haah….haah…" Juna was now very tired, her legs were shaking a bit, her eyes hazy and the grip on her sword loosed signalling that she couldn't continue anymore but the expression on her face said another story, it showed resolve the same for Hannah.

"Is that all you got?" Alan said with a smirk on his face mocking them he wasn't tired at all, he hadn't even sweated and looked fresh as though the hours of continuous spar didn't affect him at all. His stamina was terrifying and his rate of growth was monstrous.

If others saw this their eyes would drop from their sockets but the ones close to him knew he was an anomaly, so they just didn't think much about it.

His mocking didn't seem to work at all, the twins looked at each other and then nodded. Probably they came up with a plan in order to take him down.

The next moment they surrounded Alan, one was in his front the other on his backside, they pointed their swords at him and got ready in a battle stance.

Alan closed his eyes and spread his senses to the surroundings using mana, his control over mana was near perfect, and he could sense any minor changes in mana near him as long as his whole focus was on it.

Hannah moves first thinking she can catch him off guard. She moved at a very fast speed covering herself in mana and reached him in a blink of an eye, she swung her sword and aimed at his neck, but much to her expectation her sword was parried by the hilt of Alan's sword her eyes widened in disbelief because he didn't move his head at all, he did all that while his eyes were close!

And the next moment he vanished Hannah now panicked being from the Beast-kin they can sense their surroundings much better than humans because of their ears which gave them an upper hand during battles, but Alan disappeared and appeared behind her without her knowing she was now questioning her own senses.

"You are losing your focus Hannah, your enemy will kill you at this rate and you won't even know how it happened," Alan spoke from behind her in her ears which made her shiver, not due to fear but due to other reasons…. ahem! back to the battle.

But before Alan can make his move his sword was blocked by Juna and he was pushed back.

"Oh! That was pretty fast…not bad at all." Alan spoke with a surprised expression as Juna previously focused much on strength and disregarded Agility and other aspects, but during the past month of sparring he pointed out where she lacked and helped her improve.

"It's time Alan" Anna reminded him with a neutral tone about the meeting he had planned with someone.

As soon as they heard her voice they stopped in their tracks and decided to end the spar.

The twins lost strength in their legs and were about to fall down but Alan quickly moved in their direction and caught them by hugging their waist while his hands were groping their buttcheeks.

When they came out of their reverie feeling him hugging, their faces went beet red from embarrassment.

"You idiot!" Hannah cutely punched Alan on his shoulder.

Juna giggled, she wasn't opposed to Alan grabbing her ass. She would gladly let him touch her wherever he wanted, after all, she was all his, her heart, soul and body all belonged to him.

"You both have improved so much in the past two months, I am proud of you girls," Alan said while patting their heads and both of them loosened themselves in his embrace and hugged him tightly. They both loved his headpats but they won't say it out loud.

"Really?!" Juna was surprised to hear these words from Alan. For someone with a character like Juna who loved fighting, getting a compliment from him was like soothing music for her ears.

"Yes, of course." He pulled Juna closer and kissed her on the lips. It went for a few seconds and was about to turn into a passionate one but sadly they were interrupted.

"Alan" Anna spoke louder than usual, clearly intending to interrupt the blooming romance between the couple, she then continued with a neutral expression "Ms Gagola is here."

Juna's brows were twitched in annoyance because of being interrupted, she frowned seeing Anna who ruined her special moment. She has been observing the changes in Anna in the past month and she knew that Anna was jealous of seeing them being intimate in front of her.

Anna has been acting a lot jealous lately, the sisters knew Anna had a thing for Alan but she would never go as far as to disturb their time with Alan. But recently she has been more forward in her approach towards Alan, it's not like she said anything but actions speak louder than words right?

"Time sure runs fast." It's been already two months since Alan has given a Job to Gagola.

"Let's go meet her, after all, it looks like 'that' is ready."

Alan was excited to see the finished product, no rather he was excited to meet his finances with their new gifts.

Gagola was seated in the centre of a three-seater sofa with her fingers interlocked, she had a satisfied smile on her face as she looked at the boxes in front of her. It was the fruit of her

hard work and she was very proud of it.

"Welcome, Mrs Gagola" Alan greeted her with a warm smile on his face as he entered the hall where Gagola was waiting.

"Thank you, Lord Alan." She greeted him and went back to the comfortable position she was in. "You seem to be more cheerful than usual.." Gagola then held her mouth in an act of showing regret for what she has said right now.

'Shit! Why did I speak my mind?' She cursed inwardly at her own actions. Even though Alan got comfortable talking to her she knew she should never cross the line with someone of high status. Especially a Duke's son, and not just any Duke but 'Duke William's Son'

The son of the man who is called 'The Supreme King', the one who is feared by every species in the world except dragons. Since no one knew much about the dragons as they have stopped being in contact with other races of this world, not because they have a disease but because they see other species as a disease.

They claim themselves to be the most powerful species rather they consider themselves as gods.

Yes…. Gods. Like the demons, the dragons have their informants among all species. In fact, they knew the plans of the demons beforehand. But still, they did not bother with the problems between other species or so-called 'Minions', it was the way the dragons address other inhabitants of this world.

Meanwhile back to the room where they were…

"Yes, I can't wait to see the magic you have done," Alan spoke with the same energy, not even an ounce less. As if he didn't bother with how Gagola spoke to him. Well, he was never from this world and getting accustomed to how Nobles showcase themselves to others he didn't like it much, he was an outgoing and cheerful person after all.

To begin with, Alan never cared about the formalities or the hierarchy of the power system in this world. He just treats someone well if he deemed them worthy of it.

Gagola pushed forward two boxes on the table and spoke in a neutral tone but this time a bit more comfortable "Here is the Katana and the knuckles you ordered."

By the time they were having a conversation, Hannah and Juna had already taken their seats next to Alan.

Alan opened the first box, It was a Black katana with a golden accent to it. Juna's eyes lit up in excitement and they widened as well. After seeing the exotic designs engraved on it, she took her katana out of the box. It glistened from its handle to its tip reflecting the little daylight that entered the room.

She decided to check the balance and sharpness of the katana so she did some swings in the air and some thrusts to check the blade's compatibility, much to her belief it was the perfect weapon for her.

"Woah!" Juna exclaimed "this...this is awesome." The sword's weight was perfectly balanced with a black and golden accent to it adding elegance to the sword.

Juna passed the sword to Alan who checked it and said with a curious face "...it seems like there is something more to it."

Gagola chuckled after seeing his reaction "...nothing escapes from your eyes." She borrowed the sword and began explaining to them "... it's bound by a contract, only its contractor can use the sword's true power. It enhances its master's mana and helps condense the sword aura much easier."

She then asked Juna to drop blood on the surface of the katana

*Drip*

Juna poked her finger with a knife allowing a drop of blood to form on her fingertips, she dropped it on the katana.

The katana shone brighter than usual, Gagola then asked Juna to bestow a name for the sword. Juna pondered for a while staring at Alan. Then she spoke immediately:

"I shall name it 'NightFall' The sword shone brighter for a couple of seconds as the word NightFall appeared on the sword highlighted in gold. Alan was smiling seeing her name the katana because the appearance suited the name.

Hannah also moved forward and opened her box, she was impatient after seeing Juna's katana.

"...Eh?" Was she surprised? yes. She was surprised at the sight of a black glove.

"Woah!" Hannah exclaimed in surprise as she inspected the glove which resembled the Katana's accent as she slowly inserted mana into it, long claw-like blades grew from the knuckles of the glove.

She did the same thing and immediately dripped blood on the gloves and spoke out a name on her mind "Death Striker." The name was imprinted as the claws shone brighter.

"Ahh...And one more thing, these weapons grow stronger together with their master, also here are the other weapons." Gagola moved forward two other boxes.

Alan opened both at the same time, these were the weapons Alan had asked Gagola to make. For some reason all the weapons he saw were black, well it doesn't matter as long as they did their job.

The weapons were a mixture of Pistols and Rifles, lengths longer than the average pistols and shorter than long-range rifles. There were 8 cartridges of bullets in one shell, and another pair in the other one. The good point of using them and the design which contradicted the weapons of his old world was because they can be fired by Mana and not gunpowder.

"Do these need contracts too?" Alan asked after seeing their appearance somewhat similar to the Katana and the Glove. So he thought inwardly they might be contract weapons too.

"No, these are just normal weapons." Gagola had tried to make them spirit weapons but it couldn't be possible for some reason. These weapons are given spirits by one of their clan's mages, who is considered to be the most powerful mage.

Although dwarves have mages among them, their speciality lies in blacksmithing, as they were geniuses in creating balanced, durable, high-quality weapons which required a lot of precision.

Alan didn't complain, he was happy with the final outcome. He got up from his seat and decided to head to the training ground.

"Why don't we test out how strong it is?"

The group was now back in their training hall and were about to test the weapon, Anna and Gagola were at a safe distance.

"I will go first." Juna stepped forward, the katana glowed blue as she inserted mana into it. The colour of the mana looked dark due to its condensed state.

She slashed the katana on the dummies neck, much to her surprise the heads of all three dummies fell one after the other as the blade cut through them like a hot knife pierces butter.

"How is it, Miss Juna?" Gagola asked for a review.

"It's the best, I couldn't have asked for a better weapon. The blade is sharp and the balance is perfect." Juna responded as she kept swinging her katana in different angles on the dummy.

"Hannah you are next." Juna made way for her sister because she was eagerly waiting for her turn.

Hannah then moved forward and struck the ribcage of the dummy with the claws.

But now what fell was not just the head, but the shoulders and the chests were out of their place. It was clean and precise, thanks to the training with Alan.

"Hehe~ I love it." Hannah couldn't have asked for a better weapon.

"Ok, now it's my turn." Alan loaded the bullets and aimed at the dummies.

*Bang*

A clean headshot, but the damage was done to just one dummy, although Alan stood at a considerable distance, the balance, handling and the mechanisms of the gun were perfect.

"...Ok again but this time." A sly smirk appeared on Alan's face.

Alan inserted mana into the gun while condensing mana on the bullets.

*Bang*

The bullet moved at a very high speed, sweeping the heads of the three dummies and making a hole in the wall beyond it, even breaking the magic barrier.

"What the fuck!" Juna screamed in disbelief, not only her but others also had their eyes widened in shock. The destruction from just a single bullet was unimaginable.

"...It has indeed exceeded my expectations." Alan blew the smoke emerging from the gun's barrel "this truly is a masterpiece."

Alan looked toward Gagola since he didn't receive any response from her, but she just stood there with her jaws trembling which looked like they will drop anytime.

It was not what she had expected, all she did was make a weapon, just who knew it would be a weapon of mass destruction.

'How? Just how?' She couldn't believe her own eyes, the bullet had not only penetrated through the iron dummies but also made a hole in the wall which was protected by a magic barrier.

"..." Gagola soon woke up from her stupor and looked at Alan who was calling her name multiple times "oh sorry sir, I was absorbed in my thoughts."

"It's alright. This is very well made." Alan placed the gun back inside the box and spoke with a satisfied smile on his face "This must have taken you a lot of hard work, I will pay you double of what was promised and... You can keep the remaining adamantium."

Gagola flashed a smile and thanked him back.

Alan asked the girls to train while he walked Gagola out.

Just before Gagola left she handed over a box to Alan "Here is what you asked for."

Alan opened the box, it had five rings with crystals embedded in them. They looked beautiful, all the rings were similar, which he had asked her to make for his fiancée's.

He hasn't given them their engagement rings yet, he wanted to give them something special.

Gagola handed Alan two more boxes. Alan didn't know about these as whatever he had requested was already with him so he decided to ask her about it.

"Huh, what is this?"

"Please give them to Duchess Catherine." Catherine had actually asked Gagola for something. But since she was nowhere to be found she decided to hand them over to Alan.

"And… Please summon me back if I can do anything to help you." Gagola wanted to make new weapons like these which challenged her blacksmithing skills.

"Sure."

After Gagola left, Alan returned to the hall.

'Phew,' He let out a deep breath and spoke with a warming smile on his face.

"Finally, I can't wait to meet them."
