Sylvester and Emmanuel arrived at the club and saw Richie and Grace standing at the entrance who waved at them as their eyes fell on them. There were a fair number of people outside especially youngsters.
The duo approached Grace and Richie who were dressed in casual wear and they looked like they were ready to party.
"What up, man?" Emma said when they got close to the two.
"Just been waiting for you both" Richie replied, and Emma just nodded.
"How have you been?" It was Grace who directed the question to Sly who seemed absent-minded.
Sylvester's thoughts were interrupted and his eyes fell on the small brunette girl whose bright eyes peered at him expecting an answer from him.
He just nodded his head in silence having a faraway look in his eyes which made Grace question herself if he was feeling bored being here.
"Hey Sly" Richie spoke to Sylvester.
" Hey" Sylvester replied in a nonchalant tone.
"Shall we proceed? "Richie said and the four of them walked through the corridor that ended at a double door that was closed with two well-built bouncers standing at the front.
When the men saw the quartet, they immediately opened the doors and the four stepped inside.
Lights of different colors flashed in the club that sparked throughout the place.
The revolving lights of different colors in the nightclub gave a charm to the area, where the faces of people were not quite clear due to the lights.
There was a small crowd on the dance floor who danced to the rhythm of the loud music that was being played by the Disc-jockey, hooting, yelling, and singing loudly along with the song being played.
The club was bustling with a lot of young men and women, where most of them were at the bar, surrounding the bartenders for their drinks.
The four walked amongst the crowd and went to sit at a small rounded table, which was a bit isolated from the lot.
"I didn't know there would be a lot of people in the club today," Grace said while her gaze was still on the crowd.
"Thought same too, but I think it is because it is a new club." Emma reasoned and Grace nodded her head.
Emmanuel's gaze averted from the crowd to look at Sylvester who sat on the couch with an expressionless face, he looked bored as though he was being forced to be here.
Emma started to think if his decision to bring Sylvester here to cool his nerves was a bad decision. He stared at him until Sylvester looked up and met his gaze.
"Is something on my face?" Sylvester deadpanned and Emma continued to peer at him as if he had not heard him question him.
Grace and Richie whose attention was diverted from the crowd to the two looked between Sylvester and Emmanuel wanting to know what was going on with the two.
They were not behaving like their normal cheerful selves, although they knew Sylvester was mostly carrying the same expression he did right now. They suspected that something was going on with the two.
"Chill Sly," Emma said to Sylvester whose grim expression remained the same. He did not respond to Emma's remark.
"Is everything alright?" Richie was the one to ask when he felt something was wrong.
"It's nothing, Richie. It's just Sylvester and his mood swings." Emma said with a grin playing around the corners of his mouth and Sly glared at him.
"Alright, Grace and I are going to the bar to get some drinks, do you want anything?" Richie questioned.
"I think I'll just have coke for today," Emma said and saw Richie raise his brows.
"What about you, Sly?"Richie asked and stood up along with Grace.
"I think I'll pass, "Sly said and Richie nodded his head and left with Grace to the bar.
As Sly's gaze followed the two who were leaving, his eyes fell on someone at the entrance. His eyes widened slightly and he stared intently at the person.
Emma followed Sly's line of sight and his eyes fell on two beautiful young ladies standing at the entrance.
At where the two ladies were standing, Rylee tugged Mary into the club, where Mary was feeling resistant to enter the place, she was not a clubber and she didn't enjoy the company of so many people.
" You'll be fine," Rylee urged Mary inside as she was not fully willing to be in this place.
The two walked toward one of the tables and sat on the couch.
Sylvester's gaze was fixated on Mary where he had not taken his eyes off her for a split second. He had not guessed that he would find her in this place. He had not thought she was that kind of party girl considering her demeanor the last time he had met and spoken to her. He, therefore, concluded that she had come with the girl beside her, who looked more bold and outgoing, unlike Mary who looked bashful.
In the next moment, Sylvester saw two young men who looked shabby and had bad boys vibe coming from them coming to sit with them. They held glasses in their hands which Sylvester figured to contain alcohol.
They sat on either side of the two girls and Sylvester felt annoyed with the way the other guy was sitting too close to Mary. His gaze turned sharp and the color of his eyes darkened a little.
