Bishop Wilhelm Lunaris

As Keifer pass by, priests wearing purple priest robe bowed or nod whenever they see him walking. Some even attempt a small talk which Keifer subtly refuse saying his going to meet the bishop.

He walked in a very leisurely pace, making some priest question the validity of his excuse. They all just shook their head and went back to their way.

'Voice, if I succeeded...what will happen to the original owner?'

⟨‹ Dead. The soul of the original owner already went to his reincarnation. His sudden and mysterious death cause the world to steal your soul from our handling. ›⟩

'It means....Isiah will die here...no matter what.'

⟨‹ Yes. If I were to advice you, I'll advice for you to just fulfill your fate. Although, there are other option, it's not fully certain that you'll succeed and eject your soul from here. Some things may happen and might damage your soul. ›⟩

'...annoying. Just why me? There's million of others out there, so why me of all people?'

⟨‹ You are closer and easier to get. Plus, you and Isiah almost have a same energy length. Of course, there are other soul more compatible but you are closer.›⟩ The voice stopped for a second before speaking again.

⟨‹ I do not why you keep trying and resisting, you are already dead. You cannot go back to your old life, anymore. ›⟩ Keifer snickered when he heard that. Of course, he already accepted the fact that he's dead but he doesn't want to accept the can't go back to them anymore.

He knows its selfish and self centered but he can't accept the mere idea of his loved ones forgetting about him and moving on with their lives especially...Adriann.

'Just...I want to see them. Even as not Keifer anymore, you said I can reincarnate right? I want to reincarnate near them....'

His fist balled and turn left before stopping in an old wooden door at the end of the hallway. He slapped himself hard to wake and sober himself up.

'I'll do anything to make that happen, you hear me? Anything."

Keifer raised his hand and gently knocked at the door. A male voice resounded from the room and spoke for him to come in. He opened the door slowly and smile as he look at the man sitting in the middle of the room, burning some parchments in an open gas lamp.

"Come, have a sit young master Isiah. I see that you didn't come with your servants as I cannot sense them."

"I prefer to walk alone and They're both tired so, I want them to rest before serving me again in full spirits."

"How compassionate you are, Young Master."

The man before him stood up and gesture him to sit. The man has a long navy blue hair tied in a low man bun, his face looks sharp and strict but have a very clear and amiable eyes.

A small reserved smile was plastered in his face, the man might only be standing there but Keifer can feel the holiness radiating from him. Truly benefitting of his title.

"Just call me Isiah, Bishop..."

"Ah. Please excuse me, I am Bishop Wilhelm Lunaris. I manage and make sure the temple will run smoothly and safely."

"It is a pleasure to meet you Bishop Lunaris,"

"Likewise,"

Keifer extended his hand but Bishop Lunaris turn back and search one of the cabinet. He awkwardly retracted his hand and sat on the empty seat.

"I heard about your...interesting stories from a bard who pass by three days ago. It makes me want to tear up a little and talk to you, thus, I wrote a letter to Duke Finnel to let you stay here for a couple of weeks. I hope its okay to you."

Bishop Lunaris smiled and handed him a Crystal ball with a transparent liquid inside it. Keifer recieve it with a confused gaze which the bishop answered with a small smile. As he held the ball with one hand, the liquid turned blue green with something blue shining in it. He looks up and was about to ask the bishop when he gave him a scroll.

"That's called Emotion Identifying crystal. It would change its color depending on the emotion or mood by its owner or the person holding it. This scroll contain the guide about what emotion signify a color, I am giving this to you as a welcome gift."

Keifer said thank you and put the crystal ball on his personal pouch. He then focus his attention to the bishop who is now sitting. Truth to be told, the bishop reminded him of Adriann when he is in his work mode, professional and amiable.

"Thank for the gift, Bishop but I do not have something I can gift back so, please excuse me. Just by hearing its description, its something that is definitely pricey."

"Don't bother. You are not oblige to do it. I just want to welcome you and let you know that you should be comfortable and treat the temple as your home,"

It is definitely pricey, Bishop Lunaris thought but there is no need to tell the child about it and bother it to him. This gift stand as the same gift of their God, as the guest of the God he should treat him with kindness and understanding.

He look at the young man before him. He have the same Violet eyes as his father, the same jet black hair as his mother. His face is something expected, as he look like the mixture of his parents. It is pretty generic and there is nothing noteworthy except for his clear violet eyes that stand out from his features. If one were to look at him, the first thing they will notice is his eyes.

"Is there something wrong, Bishop?"

Bishop Lunaris snapped back from his reverie, forming an apologetic smile towards the child in front him.

"Excuse me. I was lamenting how your eyes stand out than the rest of your features."

"You are too forward, Bishop."

He only smiled at Isiah's statement. He opened of the table's drawer and pull out a bead bracelet and a bell. Bishop Lunaris gave the bracelet to Isiah who accepted it with a smile, he then gently shook the bell after.

"Hmm...The sun are already setting, i know you are still tired from your journey. You can go back to your room first, we can talk again tomorrow." A knock from the door sounded as ge finished the sentence. Bishop Lunaris spoke come in as the door open and two servants came in.

"Follow them, they will lead you to the bathing area. I must trouble you to stop over at the private praying hall and pray to Endreida with the beads I gave you, its a custom for us to let the guest pray for God as a sign of respect."

"Of course, I was actually planning the same thing. Then, I will go first Bishop. Have a nice day."

Bishop Lunaris watched as the young master of the Finnel stood up and left the room with the servants guiding him. As the door close, the previous barrier which were down for a moment came back and envelope the whole room, Bishop Lunaris let out a small smile as he stood up and kneel at the praying altar in the corner.

Feeling up the bead bracelet in his hand and the Minnet, a rosary of the God of Peace and Health, in his neck, he prayed.

"Oh, Endreida. This follower of yours do not have any idea what your plans are but this one will follow your wills faithfully. Guide me through the right way of helping the child..."

Wilhelm Lunaris prayed for an hour. He doesn't know why the god show him the life of Isiah Finnel and the purpose why the God wanted him to be here but he will make sure to give his best to fulfill the God's will.
