Fifty Eight

She lifted her head and tried to swallow every regrets down her throat. Her eyes fixed on Maximilian. When he questioned her, she tried to buzz him off, like she always does. 

"I will be leaving soon." She responded. She tries to leave, but he held her chin and stared deeply into her eyes. 

"What's wrong?" 

His voice was filled with so much care making Pandora recalled the night at the beach. Every moan replaying in her ears. It was the first time, laying in his arms, and feeling his body heat. Which made her wonder, if Maximilian would be of help. 

As much as she thought about it, the words hung in her lips. Each gaze at Maximilian, made her wonder if telling him would ever be worth it, what if he figures it all out. Her crimes, afterall she was staring at a detective and not just the Rodrigo she knew years back, or the one she had a passionate time with at the beach. 

But still, what better option does she has, Manuel was more important.
