Chapter Sixty

My legs did the leading. I couldn't place in words how I was feeling, but I need to release some pent-up emotions. Not long after, I stood in front of her wall. I was back at Lorraine's room. There a way slight hesitation on my part. But, finally, I placed a hand on the wall and watched it give way. And, this time, there was no obstruction on my part.

I could hear the drips of water as it hit linoleum floor. Without meaning to, my eyes closed. At that same moment, a hum so soft, yet wretched ignited in my ear drums. I stood there for five minutes listening in. I wondered how this could happen so easily. How someone so frail could create something so powerful.

I gritted my teeth, suddenly overcome by rage. I strode over to her shower and opened the door, it made a bang on the wall, and I watched in satisfaction as she shrieked. She kept trying to cover her naked body, with painfully stricken attempts like we weren't wolves.

"Get out?" She snapped at me.
