Chapter 69

It's been hours since the kiss with Lorraine, but I'm yet to get it off my head. I kept rolling on my bed, restless and filled with lustful thoughts. I snapped at myself several times, reminding myself she was nothing but a lowly enslaved person. But it did not do justice, my heart was burning, embedding each letter of her name on its surface.

I jerked from the bed, my brows crinkled, and my lips curved in a sneer.

"I cannot allow myself to be fond of such a lowly woman."

I grabbed a coat and tied the rope on my waist to cover up. I swerved out of my chamber with no idea where I was going.

I quickly thought to stand on the palace's balcony from the third floor.

Standing there and gazing over my city, I felt even more lonely. I wish you share this wealth with a partner. This power, my visions of expanding this park.
