Darion: The Beast King

Darion, who was walking a bit in front of Leo, noticed the smell of the blood. He realized that the smell had become much stronger than earlier.

He turned his gaze towards the blood trail that was being left behind. Not only that but also the barbaric people that were sitting in the same stall were following them.

Darion smiled and then flashed the gold card that he was holding in his hand.

Leo noticed him taking the card out, however, Darion wasn't exactly showing this to Leo. He wanted the barbarians to notice this.

The moment the barbarians saw the card, they stopped in their tracks.

"That…", the thin man started to sweat profusely. The same was true with others including the bulked-up man.

These people were just about brute strength. The weakest among them was Lv.8 while the strongest was Lv.15.

For a village near the forest where almost no development was provided, this was quite strong than average. No strong cultivator is seen here as there aren't many resources.

In any case, the moment those barbarians saw the card, they stopped and then retreated. They turned back and ran with all their might.

Black Gold coins and Platinum coins were the highest in their orders.

1 Black Gold coin = 100 Gold coins.

These weren't present in daily use, however, they were spotted many times, especially in the hands of nobles and royals.

Darion told about these coins before starting the explanation about the cards.

As the coins were valued, the cards too followed a similar pattern.

The highest-ranking card was a platinum card. Following it was the black gold card.

Card Rankings: Platinum -> Black Gold -> Gold -> Silver -> Bronze -> Copper -> Normal.

Yes, just a normal was extra in the case of cards, other than that, everything was similar to the coins system.

The cards had the official information about the cultivators. The cards were developed about 1000 years ago when humans learned to develop tools and different instruments using the beast's blood.

The cards were also integrated with the beast's blood. When given to a particular cultivator, they are requested to put a drop of their own blood on the card. As they cultivate and get stronger, the card would change its color and upgrade on its own while sensing the strength of the cultivator.

Copper -> Lv.31 to Lv.40 (Beast Commander)

Bronze -> Lv.41 to Lv.50 (Beast Supreme Commander)

Silver -> Lv.51 to Lv.70 (Beast General and Beast Supreme General)

Gold -> Lv.71 to Lv.80 (Beast King)

Black Gold -> Lv.81 to Lv.90 (Beast Overlord)

Platinum -> Lv.91 to Lv.99 (Beast Supreme Overlord)

The cards cannot be held by others. To be precise, the host of the card and the card cannot be more than 100 meters apart. Also, if the host dies, the card disintegrates and turns into ashes.

However, the information isn't lost. The last recorded details on the card get added to the Analyzer's book who had issued the card after verification.

After hearing Darion's explanation, Leo's eyes were left wide open. His jaw almost dropped with not only awe but also confusion.
