She refused to believe that Leo had nothing to do with teacher Ling's injury.

"The cunning brat must have done something to deceive you."

"He must have lied to you in order to save his friends."

Teacher Ling shook his head. "No, Yi'er. You're mistaken. Leo did not do anything to deceive me."

Teacher Ling tried to persuade his girlfriend in a soft manner. He knew Ms. Yi did not mean anything bad, she was merely worried about his well-being.
