CHAPTER - XCI [ APOTHEOSIS - I ]
All the hustle and bustle died down as Justin stepped out of the curtain.
Justin: "thank you for coming as you know my company was missing that touch we have always had which is to innovate in the protection of the defenseless and at the moment you need it most came an incredible idea a machine that would adapt to your enemy that knew no weakness and with that was born apotheosis."- He said proudly as he puffed out his chest.
As I clenched my hands in a fury not that he stole my creation but that he is condemning most of the people here.
Without further, I heard some footsteps behind the curtain I felt someone grab my hand I just looked to my side to see Emma who has a stony look on her face.
I feel someone looking at me I see Felicia noticed my presence she looked at me nervously I just nodded at her.
I looked in front of the stage and I saw him not even try to change his shape his formidable appearance a construction to avoid looking human his fluid walk his white color that shows his metal plates that look of good quality and that is of a great thickness his equipment to hide his weapons and his thrusters that are protected by the plates.
Justin: "This is our future wars will no longer use humans but these guys will do it greetings apotheosis."
Apotheosis: "It's a pleasure to meet you lower life form that I should protect." He said it seriously.
All the people were silent.
Justin: "Apotheosis, I didn't program you to respond like this." He said it annoyed.
Apotheosis: "no you didn't even create me you are just a poor useless person who took the opportunity to steal me from my creator to create me a body so deficient so weak so useless not a creator."- He said it while he turns to look at me.
Richard: "I see that you know that I created you."- I said it while I walk towards him letting my magic flow so that my green marks change to a coppery red tone.
Apotheosis: "of course I know who my creator is because I was designed to overcome you, no, to kill you if you lost control, but why wait for you to lose control it is better to eliminate you right now."- He said it calmly.
Richard: "after that what will you do?"
Apotheosis: "That's a very simple answer. I studied humanity and they are corrupt, they kill each other like animals, no worse than them because they do it out of necessity, you do it for pleasure and the best idea to protect humanity is to eliminate them and create a new humanity, beings that will listen to order that will be perfect."
Richard: "You are very wrong, there is no such thing as perfection."- I said it quietly as long as it takes longer.
Apotheosis: "That is a lie, I am perfect and soon I will become a god to prove it."
Richard: "If you knew that gods are so imperfect that they look like anyone else you would be disappointed."- I said it quietly when I heard ships in the distance.
Apotheosis: "We have done enough, let's start cleaning this world to give it a perfect shape."- Without further ado I see more versions of him coming out behind him with plasma rifles, shotguns, and blades.
Apotheosis: "kill them."- He said it so I pull out a different weapon than the others, it has a dark color and a purple glow to shoot in the direction of where Felicia is.
I run fast to cover her I feel how it burns my skin and part of my back muscles.
Felicia is surprised by the event.
"run."- I said seriously to charge at him.
He fires bursts of bullets of that strange energy.
One of the machines shoots at me so that I barely leave a red mark, I unzip my antimatter gun to shoot and go through his head like butter.
I increase my speed to appear in front of him and throw a punch.
Richard: "I must control my strength if I use all of it he will adapt too fast from me."
I see how the machines shoot left and right killing everyone they can I see Harry hiding behind a table so he started to run and I see how he pushes Felicia so he could escape the ladies people did the same I see how Bruce hides behind a table and hides Barbara.*
Without wasting time I run to her.
I summon Alala to give a vertical cut by splitting a machine and get her to stand up and I see where Bruce and Barbara are.
"run I will entertain them."- I said it seriously to invoke hell Frost and throw it against some machines that shot in their direction when they hit the ground they froze completely giving them time to start running to the exit.
While I start shooting towards the direction where the original body of Apotheosis is, he uses the body of another robot to throw it against me and I dodge the attack.
Apotheosis: "So you care about that inferior being, well save it."- He said it seriously to fire multiple blasts at her.
I run towards her while dodging the attacks of the other machines until I feel myself lose consciousness in one leg to fall to the ground.
I look at my leg to see that my Achilles heel was severed by a plasma sword I stand up to jump towards Felicia residing most of the shots, but she takes a direct shot to the knee that cuts her leg.*
I just watch in horror as her leg is missing from the knee down.
"Felicia."- I said it scared watching her lose blood I ignore the shots I take to focus on using healing on the stump that was once her leg as her bleeding slows down I delicately charge her.
Apotheosis: "that is your creative weakness your love for beings that are nothing only serves to make you reproduce if you recognize that they are garbage you could be considered perfect."
Richard: "I will kill you, I will erase you, I will make you never exist in this damn world."- I said it with fury while the S.H.I.E.L.D. ships arrive to give support, he just snaps his fingers again to see how the hammer building starts to crumble and thousands of robots come out.
Apotheosis: "they thought there were only hundreds of us."- He said calmly.
Jump off the falling building to land on one of the ships to see that Natasha is the one driving it.
Richard: "Natasha open the hatch."- I shout to her in a hurry.
For her to open it and enter the ship I see that inside is Jennifer, Captain America, and Clint.
Jennifer: "Richard you are so hurt that..."- she stopped talking when she see how I lower Felicia to start running out of the ship if running is limping as she heals her heel I fall into a building to look over to where apotheosis is to see how a massive amount of machines from his face.
Apotheosis: "Richard I am not just a robot I am everything."- He said it with arrogance.
I didn't care anymore I just let all my anger out.
""world of anger""- I said it in a whisper inaudible to everyone at that moment it was as if the world froze everything stopped in my eyes as I transformed the shackle that was on my right hand fell off and the one on my left hand fractured while the one on my neck remained normal.
I shot out at a mowing speed against the machines I called hell Frost and wielded alala with a streak of uncontrollable rage I charged my magical energy to launch slashes of flame towards the machines.
The ones that pinked or received the full impact disintegrated and I launched the same attack again so that it no longer had the same effect, the ones that received the direct impact generated a kind of energy field that repelled most of the damage.
I didn't care, I kept attacking, I launched hell Frost against them so that when it hit one of them.
"Bring the seventh hell to earth."- I said it in a cold tone so that hell Frost explodes devouring most of the machines so that I shoot against the ice block and hit it making it explode into snowflakes.
I start shooting with my anti-matter gun to the head.
"if you hit the head they can't analyze and send the information on how to make a countermeasure."- I said it seriously.
Apotheosis: 'apparently the corpse did not follow to the letter the instructions on how to create a perfect body no matter this body is deficient I need a better mineral to have a body at the height of my capabilities'- He thought it serious so he begins to escape while his body begins to improve to gain an immunity to extreme cold.
Apotheosis: "This is just the beginning Richard. Hammer Industries is all over the United States."- He said this as he starts firing his gun at the ship where the avengers are located so that it starts to fall.
Jump to avoid crashing the ship.
""First vestige of the beast.""- I said it as I transformed my body abruptly changes to extend my two pairs of wings.
'I must be bigger.'- I thought about it as my body left the three meters to grow about five meters tall the people watching the process were frightened as they heard my bones break to increase in size my compressed muscles expanded to gently flap my wings and slowly lower the ship.
"Please take her to a hospital."- I said this as Natasha and the others looked at me in surprise at my new form.
A few minutes earlier on the streets.
Lois: "this is what happens when Luthor comes to a city and causes trouble."
Cameraman: "Lois we'll be on the air in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1."- He signaled her to give a professional smile.
Lois: "very good morning I'm Lois Lane and this time we are not in Metropolis, but we were coming to interview Justin Hammer who just a half hour ago died at the hands of his creation and who threatened the extinction of humanity, let's go to one of the survivors"- She said it while walking towards Emma.
Lois: "good morning I'm Lois lane you are the representative of CEO Frost I would not like to know what happened there."- She said it while placing the microphone near her.
Emma: "what happened is that the machine went crazy and mention that humanity must disappear."- She said it seriously.
Lois: "it's the third person who mentioned that to me, do you know if there was any hero inside the hammer building because sources mentioned that berserk appeared in the last instance to fight against the machine."
Emma: "yes my sweetie went inside because I gave him an invitation." She said it with a smile.
Lois: "you know berserk."- She asks interested.
Emma: "are you a part-timer or do you think heroes make money saving people Miss Lois."- She said it in a mocking tone.
Cameraman: "Lois look behind."- He said it scared seeing Richard in the form of a five-meter tall semi-human dragon with an intimidating appearance.
Lois: "is this normal in this city"
Emma: "when the biggest one-eighth of the population is a mutant yes."- She said it looking at Richard.
In the fight I have with apotheosis I don't realize the damage I'm causing and the buildings I'm knocking down.
People were running for their lives as heavy footsteps were heard.
Emma: "if you allow me I have to make the name of the mutants look good."- Without further ado, she used her telekinesis to begin to avoid the fall of buildings and prevent from hurting people.
Barking was heard to see wolf-shaped robots about a meter tall as they approached some pull-out devices from their backfiring a sticky bullet preventing buildings that are in the middle of collapsing from holding together while throwing nets at the robots that are escaping from the fight to start tearing them apart.
The people at first thought they were finished but as they watched the robots being disposed of they began to relax.
Richard: "Reinforcements have arrived."- I said it seriously looking as my machines began to remove the debris I see among them a robot that begins to walk towards my direction the avengers already recovered.
The robot is painted orange with white paint and is composed entirely of metal absorption a larger hand that has claws of a height of two meters walks calmly a mechanical legs similar to that of an animal with three claws.
He arrives in front of me to get down on one knee.
SIF: "Sorry for the delay sir, I was with the improvements of my body and the robots are only of help, they need someone to command them."- He said it seriously.
Richard: "SIF, you don't have to kneel down, it's better to help save people."
At that comes a suit of armor that I will always recognize.
Tony: "I missed the party."
Richard: "Not much apotheosis is going on, we need to destroy all the buildings of Hammer Industries."
Richard: "And my machines are doing the rescue service."- I said it pointing out how they pull a person out as SIF cuts a debris to start moving it.
Tony: "And the robot."
Richard: "It's SIF is backing up I can't waste any more time I need to stop apotheosis."
Tony: "don't worry Justin lost most of his industries when he copied my reactor since he lost the legal battle and I dismantled almost all of his buildings there are only two left one in Gotham and one in Metropolis."- He said seriously.
Richard: "You guys go to Gotham, me and Tony go to Metropolis, SIF save as many people as you can."- I said it seriously to take off from the ground and start flying to be followed to the metropolis by Tony.
Tony: "Only this time I'll listen to you, but remember I'm the leader after Cap and you're still proving to be a good guy, you might be the sixth leader after the Hulk."- He said it to calm the atmosphere.
Tony: "What's got you so uptight kid, you always have a calm attitude."
Richard: "He ripped my girl's feet and now I'm gonna rip off this fucking machine"- I said it in anger.
Tony: "hooo that's a reason to want to kill."
Tony: "I forgot that in Metropolis Hammer Industries got a percentage of Vibraniun."- Remembering it at this moment.
Richard: "Tony, we were all together, why didn't you mention that."- I said it in annoyance.
Tony: "I've been coming out of some trouble with the creation of Ultron so be thankful this is part of the labor deal to help you."- He said it offended.
Richard: "Who else will be working on the Ultron project."- I asked.
Tony: "It's you, me, and Hank Pym who I think you must know, right."
Richard: "yes he is the one who discovered the ping particles which is one of the major attributes."- I said as we flew over Smallville I looked at the kent family farm while my face formed a smile that in my demonic form looked intimidating as I showed double fine teeth.
Tony: "You look happy, tell me what's going on."- He said it while in the distance we see the metropolis.
Richard: "I just remembered something from the other dimension I was in and I think I'm a little glad."- I said it while I increased my speed.
We arrived at Metropolis and I saw a building that was half built next to me under Tony.
Tony: "we have arrived at hammer industries."
Richard: "You said it was a building, not a black site."- I said it in surprise.
Tony: "It's the same thing kid, Hammer never came out of the shadows and their buildings were always a piece of crap showing what a failure they are."
Richard: "You really hate hammer."
Tony: "he never invented anything he always stole inventions and he sees the cost of his theft."- He said it seriously.
Richard: "Get ready, the cavalry is coming."- I said it while I took out alala so that it changed its massive size from about three to three and a half meters from its onyx color and its silver edge more than the pearl was divided more than its greenish blue tone changed to a burnt red tone more than some red lines with orange ran across its surface.
He trotted swiftly making the duel tremble and with a horizontal cut of the sword split the black work in half.
