The Demiurge

Manaia is borne to the head of her village on Ahuahu Island, but she discovers that she cannot control any of the elements like the rest of her people. Her grandmother suggests that her parents send her to the esteemed Xing Yao(星耀) Academy of Theurgy, but every professor seems to be hiding something sinister. As Manaia unravels the reason behind her lack of magic, she also stumbles upon a conspiracy larger than she can fathom.
