From the way that they were walking towards the forest, they already knew that they were near the imperial household - or so Giovanni and Fahar knew. The place was used to protect the imperial household from the intruders outside and anyone knew what it might be for them. Beasts were gathered within the place to kill the intruders. No one would be able to escape such animals within. They were the monsters that had been kept to kill such outsiders yet they were only kept from within the forest
