Chapter 7

"Mana is a life force energy. Every living being has mana however their mana capacity can be low to very low and high to very high."

"A research was done a century ago about it. Due to a sudden mana mishap, a lot people had died and went missing. Everything around its reach was devastatingly damaged."

"Oh…"

Like atomic or nuclear detonations or nuclear plant explosions.

"Anyway research on mana is prohibited for now. But rumour has it that a research on it has been going on covertly."

In my previous world, schools taught about atomic weapons from early age. I didn't know about the rest of the countries but my country was really concerned about it.

"Master, do you know about the damage done to land and areas that it affected?"

"Yeah, legend has it that the affected area had became uninhabitable for almost 5 years."

"Oh, I see."

Like radiation affected area.

"Do you know anything about dungeons, mana crystals and adventurers?"

"No. Do you k- can you tell me about it."

Of course she knows. She is your tutor you know.

"I'm going to so listen…"

"People who fight monsters, explore dungeons and travels while doing jobs… are called adventurers. Adventurers can accept any kind of jobs."

So basically adventurers are freelancers.

"Dungeons are naturally made underground home of various of monsters. Adventurers go there to explore or to find something valuable items like mana crystals. Those things sells for good money. Those crystals contains mana in it and sometimes mana comes out of it due to excessive amount of mana accumulated into it which made those crystal to crack as a result mana getting out of it and affecting its surroundings."

"Oh…"

"Once it gets cracked or destroyed, it's useless however everything around it gets affected by it."

Like radiation.

"If you want to become adventurer you can go to the adventure guild which is in the city and register yourself there however you can't since you're just kid of age three."

Becoming an adventurer seems to be a pretty good way of making money.

"You can become an adventurer once you turned ten. Adventurer is also characterized in different stages. S is highest then A, B, C, D, E and F. Every first timer starts their journey form stage F. To get promoted you've to prove yourself by completing higher stage jobs or get strong enough to do higher tire jobs or just earn promotion."

"Oh, then I'm definitely going to be an adventurer."

She petted me.

"So let's start practicing some magic today. I can't use magic without chanting so hope you can accept that."

"Of course."

"I'll perform magic to create simple blow of wind, follow me afterwards, okay?"

"Got it"

She started chanting.

"Nobody has seen it and it only can be felt, without it existence isn't possible, come forth and bless this world, wind flow!"

When she said last word 'wind flow!' She aimed the staff towards the big tree and suddenly branches and foliage of its started moving.

After some seconds it stopped.

Just like she said, I also started chanting in order to activate the magic.

"Nobody has seen it and it only can be felt, without it life is impossible, come forth and bless this world…wind flow!"

I aim it towards the exact tree.

Just like before the tree looked like as if a real wind was blowing against it.

The next day.

The sun was about to kiss other part of world with its light.

I was at the edge of the small stream of water which was at the side of the road.

I was doing research on controlling the running water by using my mana.

I can control water formed by mana and every time I do it, a vision of a straight horizontal line appears in my head.

I guess if I successfully able to control the running water, the vision is going to appear too and if I failed it'll not appear.

But how should do it?

Maybe by transfer my mana into the running water.

But how can I transfer?

I thought for a second and got an idea.

Let's see what happens when I made magically formed water to get in contact with the naturally made water.

I formed water and made it to touch the stream's water.

Okay, the vision is still there inside my head.

Now wait for a second and move it upward slowly.

I guess it doesn't follow it otherwise it would have gone upward with magically created water.

Let's try something.

As I made my palm really closer to stream of water I closed my eyes as to concentrate and focus on my mana.

Afterwards a thread appeared and it was moving through infinite darkness and some seconds later

beam of light appear and the thread passed thorough it and suddenly water appeared roughly spherical in shape.

Next the thread moved towards it.

It looked as if it was finding something as to connect itself to water.

After some minutes, it stopped moving and connected to it.

As it got connected I saw vision of a horizontal line inside my head.

I opened my eyes as to observe.

As I move my hand, the water followed like it's attached to it.

I began doing the same thing again and again and again.

After some time I was able to separate some water from the stream and move it around the way I liked.

It felt great.

So as long as the thread connects I succeed and vice-versa.

Great, now if I can control water then I can control other non living things like woods or rock or big stone or leaves of tree's or petals or flower's…

For now I'll just keep it secret.

Two years passed.

It's been two years since she came here. She had taught me various things, day by day we practiced magic and at night she taught me about arithmetic. Not only arithmetic but she lectured me about magic and languages and also other various things about this world.

I don't know why I didn't feel bored while getting lecture by her. Maybe her way of teaching was great.

By the way she is great.

Due to her teaching I was able to learn more attack magic and defense magic however I wasn't taught summoning one because she didn't know much about it. It's due to her lessons and teachings that I could now be able to cast advance level magic.

As for my sword training,

My father started my swordsmanship training after few a week later when my tutor had arrived.

However he wasn't free everyday to train me, so he suggested me to swing wooden sword daily so I did it.

I probably didn't able to swing much at first but after some months I was able to swing it easily while moving flawlessly however it was nothing compared to my father's skills.

My father then started fighting more seriously. I couldn't even keep up with his attack but after some time I was at least able to block and protect myself from his attacks however I couldn't able to hit him not even once during my training.

We talked about various things and our stuff during our practice. During our practice session, Master and mother spent their quality time either talking or working or helping.

I continued learning languages. First of all I started with demon language,

Since my tutor was good at it, I was able to learn demon language faster.

I found out that she could speak in beast tongue also. So I started learning it too with her.

So right now, I'm in Master's room with her, it's night time and I'm being lectured by her.

"There are six continents. Demon continent, Middle continent, East continent, Continent of Labyrinths, Paradise and Ila"

"Master, in which continent we are?"

"We are in East continent. It's the most diverse continent. It has both highest and the lowest point. It is also the most populated continent."

"Most populated?"

"Yeah."

"But this village is not even populated. How can it be so populated?"

"Well, not every person lives in rural area like this village. City area is populated with various kind of races, either human or beast or elf or dwarf or demon or dragon or lizard…"

Dragon race? Do they turn into human?

Of course they do otherwise there's no way that huge mass of body can live with humans.

"However human race make up the large portion of the population. The population of beast race takes twenty-five percentage of the total population followed by demon race which takes ten percentage of the total population and human race which takes sixty percent of the total population and rest of the ten percent is made of races like elf, dwarf, dragon and lizard."

Lizard? How they would look like? Similar characteristics to a lizard but can talk and walk or behave like humans? Maybe.

"Demon continent is full of powerful monsters. There are head of demon ruling over certain territory.

Demon race make up the majority of the population of the continent that's why it's called demon continent.."

"Ohh… so paradise is called paradise because it looks like paradise."

"Yeah."

"Paradise is small continent full of beautiful landscapes, mountains, rainfalls, forests of trees or flowers, full of rivers…, full of biodiversity. But only accepted people can enter that continent and live there."

"Huh? Why is that?"

"Well, I don't know myself however legend has it that the continent itself decides whom to accept and whom to reject."

"That's intriguing but do you believe in that?"

"Um… nope."

"So do I."

"So next continent is Ila."

"Ila is the continent of beast people."

"Variety of beast people lives there. It's full of forests and rivers and volcanos."

"Continent named Labyrinthine is full of dangerous areas and underground mazes that's why it's called Labyrinthine. Variety of races live here. Adventurers from around the world come here for exploration due to that majority of the population consist adventurers."

"Middle continent is made up of two big islands and other small islands. It's beautiful, full of mountains, forests, rivers and biodiversity.

Most of the part is mountainous. The lowest altitude in this continent is known to be 90 meter above sea level and highest altitude is known to be 9000 meters above sea level. Most of the population live in the plain area and 2500 meter below sea level. Adventurers from around the world come here for exploration and to enjoy beautiful sceneries. It's also called second paradise."

"Do you want to learn about dragon races and other races?"

"Yeah."

"Okay so listen to me carefully."

"There're two kind of dragon race. First one is the Ruler and second one is the Follower. Rulers can turn into human, think and talk or behave like humans, have families with humans, however follower can't. Follower and Ruler can communicate with each other by cognitively or by body language or roars, and some Rulers can surpasses Followers in everything but not every Ruler… The greatest Ruler rules over dragon race."

"Ohh, what about lizard race?"

"Yeah, just like dragon lizard races can be categorized into race. One is lizard and another is lizardhuaine. Simply they are human with the characteristics of lizard. They can think like humans, talk like humans… and they rule over lizard race."

Anthropoids?

"I think this is enough knowledge for today. You'd go back to your room."

"Hey, Are you listening?"

"Yeah… I want to sleep here with you on your bed…"

"No, go back to your room and sleep on your bed."

"I love you, Master."

"You should be saying that to your girlfriend or the person you love not me."

"I love you Master."

"Yeah, okay. Thank you. Now go back to your room."

"Good night Master"

"I might let you sleep with me when you say the same thing again after you became an adult."

"Really! I can't wait to be an adult then."

Is she teasing me?

"Yeah, good night."

If she's not then I'm looking forward to that day when I'll say 'I love you Master, can I sleep with you in your bed, please?' …

I headed to my room.
