Chapter 12

My parents.

"Let's meet again, Iris."

I smiled and waved at her but my tears came out.

As she walked away from us my mom and dad got a little emotional while waving at her.

I thought of saying last goodbye to her so I ran towards her. She was a bit far away from me.

I shouted.

"Master…!"

As she looked towards me I filled with joy then I began yelling.

"I'll treasure the moment we spend together,

I'll never forget you ever,

You'll have a special place in my heart forever."

"Thank you so much for everything, Master."

"And I love you and will always be loving you, Master."

"Until then, see you again."

I waved and she waved me back.

I observe the amulet given by her.

This amulet was given by her parents to her and now she gave it to me. I never realized I became that much important person to her but now I do know how important I'm to her.

Of course she's important person to me too.

Someday I'm gonna make her my bride.

But she's going to be on her thirties when I became adult.

Who cares, I'll mentally be forty-five when I become adult.

if I can't make her my bride in reality, she's going to be my bride in my dreams.

Now what I should do alone all day… I guess it's time for me to go far from home and explore various places.

Few days have passed since my Master left.

I really liked to be alone and read books or practice magic. Reading books and practicing magic seemed more enjoyable then going outside and playing however after spending a day with my Master outside, I found myself going outside as for observation but never went really far from home. I used get outside with my Master too but not that far.

It was morning.

Later in the morning I proceeded to ask my parents if I was allowed to go out and play.

As I walked outside the house, I saw them flirting to each other on the garden.

Actually they're working while flirting.

"Mom, dad can I go outside?"

I got closer to them as I asked for permission.

"Oh, where will you be going today?"

My mom questioned.

"Maybe forest."

"Forest?"

"Yeah, that's right."

My mom and dad looked each other for a second then my dad said.

"My son is brave, thinking about going to the forest alone at this age."

"There's nothing in the forest to be afraid of by the way but don't go too deep while exploring because it's a forest. There's a high chance of you getting lost in there."

"Yeah, of course and if I didn't come home before dusk please look for me."

"Obviously we will."

"By the way have you made any friends?"

My mom asked.

"I'm planning to but for now I'm not going to."

"Why? Do you want to make girlfriends first?"

My dad questioned.

"And became their prince?"

"No…!"

They both grind.

Wait, that might be good idea but am I even cute enough for girls to like or adore me?

Nope I don't think I'm.

"What things are you going to do in the forest?"

"Well, I'll just enjoy my peaceful time there either by practicing magic or by just exploring."

"Oh, okay then. But remember to be nice to villagers and people on the road and children too. Even if you're going to ignore them, do it in safe way that they wouldn't think you to be a bad kid. And don't get carried away while practicing magic. Who knows you might destroy the forest."

"I'll not gonna do anything hazardous or harmful."

"Also don't show off your magic skills to kids or people. Oh I guess saying that is useless since you're not going to show off, right?"

"Yeah."

"A man's strength isn't for showing off but protecting

pretty girls like my mom and the weak one's, right dad?"

As I said that I looked at my dad.

"Yeah. What? What did you teach him? You little man?"

Why my mom calls him little man?

"Well, don't worry, he understands the meaning behind it, right Jason?"

"Yeah, mom don't worry what my dad teaching me is not bad thing but good thing."

"We'll then, I'm off."

"Take care."

I strolled around the village and roamed to other places.

In the village people were working on their yard nurturing the vegetables or just doing their stuff.

There's stream of river that flowed through the entire village.

I saw villagers washing their clothes and some were washing their body.

It was probably due to the cleanness of the water.

I wandered various places and locations that my Master had taken me to.

First I stopped by the river on the way to the forest.

As always its water was crystal clear. I could she everything either fish or small creatures swimming around or stones at the bottom or seaweed…

There were some plants and flower too that grew on the edges of the river.

It looked beautiful.

As I entered the forest I felt warm welcome by it.

In the forest there's some area where beautiful flowers were blooming. It looked beautiful.

The view was soothing.

The path in the forest was filled with tree's leaves. It felt great as I used magic to move them away.

I began searching for plants that my Master showed and taught about me here in the forest.

I didn't encounter any animals in the forest however I heard birds singing.

"I guess, to study plants of this world, I'll be needing a book that contains all the information about varieties of plants like …encyclopedias."

I was under the tree while enjoying nature's beauty.

"This open area is full of various type of flowers on top of that butterflies and other small insects flying and moving around those flowers is making me feel so wholesome."

"Just by looking at its beautiful view, my soul, mind body everything gets soothed."

"Nature's beauty is always calming and it also seductive … change my mind."

I got hit by sudden desire of exploring this whole world.

As I watched butterflies on top of each flowers, I got the hit by the idea of creating something like it.

"I know how to control ball made up of mud or earth or terra firma but can I just use my mana to take some segments of earth and control it like the way I want?"

"Let's try something."

"I can control natural made water like river water or drop of rain but controlling soil or mud or earth is new. If I succeeded controlling it then I can just make myself really tall."

"I mean… by standing on top of the segment I want to control and guiding it to go upward while simultaneously getting all the required segments from the ground as to support its, um… maybe the straight long tall structure, I can touch the sky."

"Not the sky but clouds."

"Using mana to communicate with my surroundings and operating it like… like dolls controlled by string or simply marionette."

"My mana will work as a string and me as a operator, that way I can control earth's surface."

"That way I can make really tall structure or just big and bulky wall made up of earth's soil or just a hill."

"Let's try."

I began doing the procedure.

First move your hand close to ground.

Then focus and concentrate on your mana.

As the thread appears, keep concentrating on it.

Next when beam of light appears keep concentrating on it.

Later when the thread gets closer to it, the thread will move through the glowing pathway of the light.

Once it reaches end of the pathway, it'll find itself in an empty location.

There you'll see thing you want to control.

In this case, it is earth's surface or just its mud or soil, so probably soil with weeds grown on it will appear.

Afterwards the thread is going to reach it as to connect itself to the it.

And if it successfully succeeded connecting with it then vision of horizontal line will appear in my head.

"So, what I saw after reaching final point is this beautiful scenery with flowers and weeds and it looked as if there's no end to it."

"And I succeeded too."

As I reached final stage the thread attached itself to the ground and next thing I saw was vision of horizontal line.

"Now let's try controlling it."

I imagined small pole like structure of earth coming out of the ground.

"Okay, so if I make it big, all the required mass of earth is gonna come from the ground and fill up the empty segments of it and it will continue to add up soil or earth to it as to build its body and make it dependable and strong, just like how small tree grows and becomes big and bulky and strong tree."

I did the same thing many times as to observe it.

"Now, I'm gonna stand on top of it and make it go upward slowly."

I stand on top of the segments.

"Oh… it's working, it's really taking me upward."

"Wait, it stopped."

"Oh… okay so I need to practice more and eventually I'll reach and kiss the clouds."

As I said that I made the earth absorb the structure.

Afterwards I practiced and as I practiced I found myself tweaking its characteristics.

Sometime later I managed to create multiple structure and guide each one simultaneously without a problem however I failed when I first tried creating multiple structure.

The surface of the structure seemed random geometrical shapes like hexagonal or triangular or circular or rectangular…

After a while I left the forest and started to wander around other locations.

A bit far from village there was empty land filled with weeds and grass plus flowers. It was so beautiful to look at.

And from there I could see mountains covered by trees plus some snowy mountains behind them.

As the air felt great to breath I felt great to be alive.

Everywhere, I saw beauty of nature, green trees and grasses, colorful flowers and trees, beautiful landscapes and mountains, clean river and heartwarming sky…

After a while I decided to go home.

I ambled through the weedy land and road to the village to home.
