Nightmare

Lois was circling the room anxiously, when the door suddenly opened, there she immediately recognized her captor who, seeing that she was beginning to understand everything, began to smile contentedly.

"Miss Lane, hmm, Lois, I hope I haven't kept you waiting too long, would you like something to eat? Or how about some tea? Coffee?" Lex Luthor the criminal genius, eternal nemesis of Superman, and dangerous psychopath, speaks up.

"Lex... I should have known you are the source of all evil in Metropolis! What do you want this time? Another trap for Superman? You know how it ends, it's always the same, you try your luck with an incredible plan, the criminals in this city secretly support you, then you fail and go to jail." Lois replies with a mixture of hatred and mockery.

"I'm not... the same person anymore Lois, Superman will play in the palm of my hands from now on, he'll become my puppet and you want me to tell you why?"

The reporter took the criminal's answer as fluff.

"I know Superman better than anyone else that's why my dear Lois; would you like me to explain how now?"

"I'm sorry for you but... I don't think he's on that side ahah" Lois laughed.

Lex returned her smile and brimming with euphoria, he explained:

"I know that Clark Kent is Superman..." A revelation that instantly terrified Lois, "I'm in possession of kryptonite, and most importantly once again, I'm not the same person!" Lex finished his monologue by stamping his foot on the floor, on which cracks were opening.

Lois is now truly frightened, this monster has become an unparalleled threat to the love of her life in her eyes.

"Anything fun to say in response? Yes I will accomplish great things in this world, Superman rest assured will have an important place as a loyal servant, I won't kill him if that makes you feel better Miss Lane." Lex looked truly evil even to his team watching the scene in the control room.

"He's here chief." suddenly hears Lex from his earpiece.

Well if all goes well, Agony's mission will be over by tonight, after which I'll be free to rule this entire world, to become powerful. These thoughts were interrupted as a loud noise erupted.

The Man of Steel had destroyed the floor of the warehouse, the roof of the basement floor.

Every room, every wall contains lead, this kind of preparation could only come from a man...Luthor!" says Clark to himself, his eyes glowing.

He walks down the hallway without hesitation, he can't see but he can hear.

He pushes open the door in front of him, and finds his wife tied to a chair in a transparent cage, across from him, behind the glass box, his lifelong enemy Lex Luthor smiling at him, Clark seems to guess a hint of wonder and admiration in the criminal's eyes.

"Lex you always go too far! All these deaths today and for what in the end?! It's over, you're going back to prison where you belong!" Superman let out his anger his tone indicating he was also exhausted.

"Too far? For what? You are Superman! If there have been so many deaths it is because of your very existence Superman! Do you think I would have resorted to this kind of ploy against the Batman? No! It was all for you, you're the reason I used such means. And if I may say so, Clark..." Superman understood instantly, Lex was about to pull the wool over his eyes.

"...The day has just begun! Inside that box is your wife, outside you and I, two different gases are also inside and outside the cube, which, combined will cause an explosion eheh, if you save her, she dies."

"But you'll die too!" Clark is surprised, this kind of risk is not like him.

"Clark he has changed! he is dangerous leave!!" Lois shouts unfortunately for nothing, this cage blocks all sound waves, Superman doesn't make an exception and only saw that Lois was trying to talk to him in panic.

Lex Luthor smiles and continues:

"Martha Kent left the farm today, some well meaning employees did try to save her, only unsurprisingly you can imagine, they died."

Clark suddenly feels weak, his mother had also been taken, he suddenly feels lost, the two most important people in his life are not safe.

"Oh another thing Clark Kent! I wouldn't have needed all this if I wanted to kill you! I would have." Lex pulls a gun from inside his jacket, aims it in the direction of Superman, currently lost listening to Lex in a daze,

and fires.

Superman felt something, a great pain that brought him out of his state.

"Clark!!! Noooooo! Please Lex Stop!"

He reacted quickly though, plunging two of his fingers into his left shoulder and gritting his teeth in pain he caught the kryptonite ball firmly and swung his arm forward, before running out of strength altogether.*

"I am Superman, Luthor! Try to kill me now." Superman, slightly weakened and bleeding, appeared totally invulnerable, his eyes burning with determination.

"Well, very good, Mister Kent, such a will is admirable. Only as I just told you I don't want to kill you."

"Then what do you want from me?! Why did you do all this if not for that!" Clark snarled.

"I mean, I thought you'd never ask. You're going to work for me, that's all I wanted to say about that, I'll leave you to think about my proposal, or rather my ultimatum." Lex turned and put his hand on the wall behind him, which parted.

"Where do you think you're going Lex?"

"I have other things to do I'll get back to you later, oh and I forgot, you shouldn't think about suing me, miss Lane will die from a poison I injected her with while waiting for you within 30 minutes I'd say, if you're wise I'll send you the antidote ahah go see you Superman."

The man of steel clenched his teeth in anger but pulled himself together let the evil Lex Luthor go.

Having thought for a few seconds he emptied the air from his lungs and sucked all the air out of the room, left the room still wounded and went to release the gas into the gray sky.

When he returned, a man dressed in black was waiting for him outside the warehouse.

"Batman, thank you for coming. Lex is the source of what happened today. I have to go free Lois." Clark briefly greeted his friend and ran into the previous room.

Bruce Wayne noticed the injury the Man of Steel had and a well-hidden panic.

"Clark I thought I'd never see you again" Lois wrapped her arms around the injured man feeling safe at last.
