Kora watched as Orion opened his mouth and what looked like grey mist came from him and into the girl's open mouth. Not a lot but enough. The girl took a normal breath and then another. The paramedic touched the side of her neck and seemed relieved that her pulse was stronger. Orion stood up and moved back toward Kora, who was biting her nails. The girl's father was calling to know what was happening. If she was okay or not and sirens were blaring, a few cops ran around the cars to see what was going on. Another took the truck driver. A moment later one was asking for the driver of the car and Kora stepped forward.
Neither Orion or Kora were even aware they were being watched from the crowd. Nyx stood among the human bystanders with a dark smile on her face. In her hand was Orion's book. She'd watched the entire thing happen. She made sure neither were aware of her though and her influence. She knew the bleeding heart this human was. Her dark smile grew deeper having heard Kora give the fifth command. Perfect, Orion's answer was even better. This human was definitely his one shot, with that Nyx was gone as Orion finished with the young girl. The stage and possibility was set.
"I can make them forget you know. You were never here. Any trace of you gone." Kora looked at him as they walked toward the cop car to get her statement. They were taking the statement of others at the scene as well.
"You got your five, I don't need ten." He had an odd smile.
"Easier said than done, you'll ask again mundane or not." Kora didn't respond to that. She really hoped this didn't become a thing. That he wasn't a magnet for bad energy or something and she was going to start caving. She was going to make sure she didn't watch any save the children commercials or anything.
"You could command it of me." She said to him and he had a rather odd smile.
"No, I've already decided what I'll command of you."
"Gee can't wait." She grumbled.
"Same." She just stared at him for the moment and the cop came back to her from where he'd been talking on his radio to someone. She had her statement taken and then she was looked at by the paramedics there. Orion just stood silently watching, and she wasn't sure what was going through his mind. He seemed calm, not impatient or anything.
She wasn't sure how she was getting home suddenly because her car was being towed. Though she did have her phone. She could figure out how to use uber or something. She rubbed her forehead, it was starting to get dark now and it also looked like it was going to rain. She let out a rush of air. She was going to need to figure out how to get a new car too because hers was probably totaled. She didn't live that far away from here. She didn't need to go to the police station. The traffic cameras caught everything and they would review it.
"Looks like we're walking." She commented.
"We don't have too."
"I need to think, it's fine. I believe you said before you aren't in a hurry to go anywhere. You don't have anything to do." He was slightly behind her and looked her over and that wasn't true at all at the moment. However she was depleted emotionally and physically he could wait. It wasn't like he was going to lose the command that he just earned from her. Easiest one he'd ever gained.
"You need to eat, your energy is very low and slightly depressed, I can see it." She looked at him and then forward.
"All my groceries were in the car. They said that they'd have them delivered to my place. Nice of the tow company. Unfortunately I'm not sure how good some of it is going to be now being out for hours." He reached out and took a hold of her arm, not meanly, but a firm grip. They suddenly weren't walking anymore, but appeared in her home.
"Whoa." Kora said, that was a bizarre feeling. Like being pressed on and then stretched.
"It's a handy gift." He commented and there was a buzz suddenly to her apartment. She went over and it was the delivery of her items. She let them in and was happy her items were brought to her. She went to putting them away and she was a bit surprised when Orion started pulling things out of the bags. Placing them on the counter helping her a bit.
"Thanks." She said seriously and he shrugged.
"I'll do this for free, it seems more demeaning to be made to do such trivial tasks with a command." She gave a slight smile, like she'd have commanded him.
"You mean woman's work, I get the sense of the kind of man you are."
"My sense of women having a place below me was destroyed long ago, let me assure you." She raised an eyebrow at him as he opened a bag of food and smelled the chips.
"That's good to hear, though you're kind of bad at showing it." He shrugged.
"Just because I think something, doesn't mean I have to be a bleeding heart about everything." He told her and she put the last few items away. She moved over and grabbed a few chips from the bag he was holding. The only sound was the crunch of the chips for a few moments.
"Well what is your command?" She figured she might as well deal with this now. He looked at her for a moment and seemed to be thinking.
"It can wait, you are fatigued and require rest." She raised an eyebrow at him.
"My health is your concern?" The smile he gave this time was a bit darker and had a heat to it.
"Be happy I've decided to be concerned about it." She moved getting a glass of water as he set the chip bag down. She filled the glass and drank nearly all of it.
"I'm sure it has nothing to do with what you need or what I'm required to provide you." She said finishing the glass. She set it in the sink, but paused. She didn't hear him move but he was just suddenly right behind her. His hand came against the back of her head and into her hair a bit. She felt a swallow and didn't turn to look at him.
"Maybe a bit." His other hand was braced beside her on the edge of the sink and his body lightly brushed against hers. She heard him inhale slightly as his face touched her hair just behind her ear. Okay, really in her space and there was no mistaking the charged air suddenly and the feel. She half expected him to just sink his teeth into her throat like he'd done before. Her mouth felt a bit dry and several thoughts went through her head.
"But I can wait." His mouth did graze the back of her ear this time. Orion realized he was definitely a masochist, especially to himself apparently. What went through his head right this second was a rather explicit visual of what he wanted to do and enjoy. Clearly he wasn't acting on it just this second. No, it wasn't the same as before, he wanted her to be fully here.
She was tired and she was asking to just get whatever he wanted over with. Not how he was looking at it now. He'd rather have a feisty and difficult Kora than a weak willed one. Not the same, besides it wasn't like he needed to wait forever. A goodnight's rest and she'd be herself again. So really it was just waiting until morning. Which his body did react violently to the thought. He was going to enjoy this more than he ever had.
"Doesn't sound like it to me." Kora commented, he felt really ridged behind her. There was this kind of low rumble sound that reminded her more of an animal than a man. He was something she didn't think she was really going to figure out. Then again they apparently had a good amount of time.
"You're tempting." He moved suddenly however from her and she had a pretty damn good idea what he was probably going to command of her. Well at least from the past experience it did get a reaction from her. She had felt a positive want, she just didn't think about it right now.
"You're a bit much, you know that?"
"Not really." He watched her walk away. He didn't follow her, just let her be and closed his eyes for a moment, their color returning. He couldn't help the harsh reaction. He might very well need to make a few preemptive decisions regarding Kora. If he'd rather stay as he was right now than be taken and used by another. He glanced at the table where his book had been last but it wasn't. He could feel it was far at the moment, clearly his mother had shown and taken it. Fine by him she wasn't going to do anything with it. Right now he just needed to figure out what he was going to do with his evening while she slept.
