Royal Advisors’ Plan

“This is not good.” Sir Reginald said as he rubbed his temples.

The three Royal Advisors were sitting around their table. They had just received the news that the man they had trained to be king was dead. Again.

“That’s two husbands dead. One more, and we will have a woman on the throne.” Sir Henry said, wringing his hands together.

They knew this day would come. Ever since the King passed, leaving only Persephone behind as an heir, it was always in the back of their minds that she would take the throne. The three of them spent countless hours going over documents and records trying to find something, anything, that would prevent this from happening. And just when it seemed all hope was lost, they found it. The Queen must marry a King. But if she was widowed three times, she would rule by herself.
