Some dialogue and instances might be familiar if you’ve read Clara’s Mystery, but this is all from Max’s perspective, and this book runs alongside the same timeline as the first book.

Celine swallowed the lump in her throat and touched her lips with the tip of her tongue. It was probably a bad idea because Max just moved his gaze to her lips as his pupils dilated. 
Her heart thumped a little faster, and she felt like a deer caught in the headlights. She could not look away. She could feel the tension in the air and could feel her control slipping. In her mind, she was kissing those lips right now while she stared longingly.
The server came while they were staring at each other, too caught up in the moment, forgetting they were at the restaurant, figuring out the next thing to do. 
Get out of there and continue the seduction, or let the tension build until the end of the night?

‘I was asleep, Celine. I would have taken you without my complete faculties, and that’s not right. We’re in your parents’ house, we shouldn’t do it here.’ 


‘I’m ready Max. so you’re saying we can do it somewhere else, just not here?’ 


‘No, that’s not what I am saying. We are not ready to take the next step.’ 


‘But I am.’ she whines. ‘And so are you, see you’re ready and hard.’ He covers his member with both hands, embarrassed. 


‘I’ve been aching to know how it feels to have you lick me, touch me, feel you inside me. I think you’ll fit inside me, right? I felt how big you are, but my insides will adjust, right?’ She teases as she touches her folds and stares right at him. 


‘Max, come back to bed and make love to me, please.’ she pats the bed. 


‘No, Celine! Go back to your room.’ he paces alongside the bed, thinking. 


‘Hmph, fine let me just play with myself then, and you can watch. I need to get this pent-up energy out of me.’
