"Can I ask you guys how this war started?"

Garth began.. "About Three years ago Krieg city was a wonderful and beautiful city...infact it was admired by other countries and we had a lot of foreigners then...But when we heard that our president was assassinated..their came a new law enforcement...The military wanted to take over, At first we thought this was impossible because no one can just come into the government and whisked away it's people. But This man Luciano Gerald...came over and everything changed...Most citizens, ministers and members of the press supported the movement...so most of us rioted and it resulted to violence, our houses were destroyed and our friends and family members all killed, Even my leg taken. Our country became a wasteland. So because we were much a search party was formed, Luciano gave orders for a search party... He wants to recruit some youths to become party of the Military. Our parents have been hiding us...but we know that no matter where we go we will be found. I just don't know how I would Keep them long enough."

I shook my head, this was so Terrible..I had to ask. "How was this Luciano able to control half the country..?"

Nat chimed in. "The Sovia fluid...I don't know if it's a serum of some sort but it is injected through the veins into the body...and after some excruciating minutes..The person is instantly controlled and used... without defiance or disobedience...it's like making the person their own minions"

I thought about this, I couldn't picture any of this children being taken away..or anything, it was scary...I stood up..

"Nat can you show me around.. surely there must be a safe place here or something..?"

I suddenly remembered my phone... maybe I could check my GPS... searching my Trouser pocket I checked and found their was no signal.

Garth laughed. "This is a really old model...how did you get hold of it, it's been long since we used phones though.."

I was surprised...my iphone 13 was an old model?...what the hell did he mean by that..and the look he gave me was more of The look I would give people using a button pressing phone.

"Erm...Garth what year is this?"

He laughed..."weird question... Ofcourse we are in ..2098"

Now this was a shocking news...I was in the future... I stepped out and called on the so called ONE

"You didn't tell me that I was taken to the future?...what is this?"

ONE Answered. "You have asked your first question now here is your answer.

"You were sent here by what we call the Humanity status...we have different realities and alternate worlds different from the one you are in...Most of this worlds are ahead of your own Earth in time . Most are behind...Now this country choose you, and it has given you two Choices like I said earlier...To save or To survive"

Oh Adeola this must be a dream, you must have watched alot of Movies and it's affecting you...oh how mama Sarah and Dad will laugh when I tell them about this...they would be too confused to even understand...I gave a short laugh. But it dawned on me that this was reality.

I didn't cry...cause well I didn't know how to ..I am the type that reacts to situation differently, but the way I felt there and then... needed tears for back up.

Nat came out.

"Let's go?"

I nodded not so sure of how I would survive this place, I was starting to miss my bed.

He took me to an old school...it was half demolished and had it wasn't too strong, he showed me restaurants that were burnt to the ground. And finally we found a tunnel...I asked him where it led to but he said he didn't know...and the last time he tried to get in he heard an animal growling... "it really ticked me off so I didn't enter".

I am a very inquisitive person and yes I am also a animal lover...so whatever sound that was I was going to check...it's been 5 hours and I hadn't seen an animal anywhere. It seemed like they must have died due to starvation or something, so why of all places would an animal be living in a tunnel somewhere underground healthy enough to bark or growl.

I adjusted..

"I'm going in.."

Nat looked worried.

"What?"

I couldn't waste anytime.

"Are you joining me or not?..."

He hesitated.

"We are looking for a bomb shelter or some place to help hide the children...and this is the only place so far that you haven't checked...so are you coming?"

We heard another voice.

"I'm joining you" it was a girl, about my age or older who wore a dark dusty leather jacket, brown eyes and black short hair...she was fair to an extent.

I nodded.

As she introduced her self.

"I'm Harriet ..you?"

I paused...

"Adeola....but you can call me A.D"

Nat had no other choice..."since you women are proving to be brave...and in an attempt to not feel or look like the chicken...I'ma join too"

I was the first to enter...It felt like a slide, and as I slid down I forced myself to not put so much meaning on the growling sounds... Harriet joined then Nat finally.

"I was right... someone was living in here"

We looked around to see a layer of Papers, machines and computers..all on...then we noticed the fake voice recording of a growling animal connected to the speaker.

There was a table and chair, we were searching for clues of who exactly could be living in that place, But that was when Nat mistakenly tripped the Alarm, as he tried to put on the computer.

And before we knew it we heard a voice and a shot...

"Put your hands on your heads right now!"

Slowly we did after hearing a gunshot.
