Kings Avenue was impressive. The view itself was superb. I didn't want to go, but my job was waiting in West city. Due to my husband's demand, I had to stay with him for a few more days. We planned to go see dad.
Well, things didn't go too well for James. My dad and brother made things very difficult for him. He had to apologize repeatedly and promise not to do anything to hurt me for them to agree to our union.
My dad called me aside and asked me questions. He was very skeptical about James. I assured him that we loved each other. At least we loved each other; I was sure about it. For the last few weeks since the proposal, James had not been giving me time to myself. He would leave everything at the office to come and keep me company.
His dad had been amazing and very supportive. One day, he called me to meet up at a restaurant near James' office. I didn't think much of it.
