James POV

With too much information thrown at me, I couldn't know who was telling the truth or not. I could not remember anything about the woman 'Jane.' Even so, there were things that were not under my control.

After she came in in her wheelchair and her dad and signed the divorce, I could not help but hesitate to sign them. But my mum had said lots of things to me that I felt it was better to let her go. Probably I would have a chance to make it up to her.

There was too much at stake. The Watson family was at the stake of losing everything. The Malloy family was threatening us. That was what my mum said, and it proved true when Cynthia said a few disturbing things.

I could remember her words.

"You know, bringing the Watson family down is not hard for me." She said, moving towards me, her finger tracing the line of the bed coming forward. She wore black pants and a white shirt with an upper-body tight jacket. She looked different from what I knew years ago.
