Hateful girl! She should've just introduced herself from the beginning!
"Lu Jin, are you saying you will label anyone that gets close to long Tian as a seductress as long as she isn't flushed with money? Just earlier, you were saying with confidence that the girl was trying to trap your man for his money. Now that you know her identity, you're changing your statement? Why didn't you think everything was a misunderstanding when you shouted and cried seductress?" Fu Ji Ren coldly sneered as he looked at the shameless Lu Jin who had an ugly expression on her face.
It was rare for him to get an opportunity to stomp on the latter, so why would he let go of this chance?
"You clearly saw Long Tian bump into her. It was also him who caught her and prevented her from falling. And yet, you accused her of seducing your man. If she wasn't Li Qing Yue, it would've been difficult for her to clear the seductress label you impulsively stamped on her."
"You! Why are you exaggerating the matter? Did I purposely try to slander her? Obviously not! If Long Tian hadn't held her so closely, would I have misunderstood and gotten blinded with jealousy? It's because I love Long Tian too much that I overreacted. With new girls throwing themselves in his arms every day, I feel insecure and fear losing him." Covering her face with her slender hands, Lu Jin tearfully cried out her grievance, instantly earning the sympathetic sighs and understanding nods of the crowd.
'Fu Ji Ren, I know you don't like me. But don't even think you can smear my image in front of Long Tian. As long as I'm alive, that will never happen!'
Of course, she knew who Li Qing Yue was. The LiLong country wasn't named as so just for fun. Where the Long represented the strongest political leader, the Li represented the most powerful businessman.
If she knew the wretched girl was Li Qing Yue, why would she openly confront her?
As the only daughter of Li Chen, Li Qing Yue's name was mentioned in every conversation of the upper-class society.
Whether noble and rich madams and misses wanted to befriend her or matchmake her with their sons, or noble and rich men wanted to use her to get in contact with her father, they all yearned to at least meet her once.
If she had introduced herself right from the start, then things wouldn't have blown out of proportion.
Blaming the entire incident on Qing Yue, Lu Jin wept sadly and tightened her hold on Long Tian's shoulder.
"Tian Tian, I am sorry. I shouldn't have reacted so impulsively. But Tian Tian, I meant no harm. I only panicked because the girl fell in your arms. You know how much I care for you. That's why I reacted so strongly. I was wrong and you can punish me if you want. But please forgive me, okay? Don't be mad."
Fu Ji Ren snorted in contempt. Lu Jin's white-lotus act made him want to vomit. Her tearful and sad appearance was drastically different from her earlier arrogant and righteous behavior, making all the spectators' hearts soften and expressions relax.
"So it's like that. This woman is also not at fault. She acted out of impulse upon seeing her boyfriend holding another woman. Anyone would have assumed the same if they witnessed such a scene."
"She loves him, so her behavior is understandable. I would probably react the same way if I was in her position."
"Love is blind and sees nothing but what the eyes perceive. She saw her man holding another woman and assumed the worse. In such a situation, who can retain their rationality? Acting on impulse at the spur of the moment happens to everyone."
They sympathetically and understandingly supported her, attributing it to impulse spurred by her deep feelings for the man beside her.
Long Tian's furrowed brows relaxed upon hearing the crowd's words. Even though he still felt displeased and wore a cold expression, the cold aura exuding from his figure drastically decreased.
Lu Jin's eyes brightened as she also noticed this.
"Enough. I don't want any more drama right now. We will talk about this later." Interrupting her pitiful sobs, Long Tian turned towards the parking lot.
He lost the desire to hang out.
After such an embarrassing incident, he didn't have the face to enter the club and act like nothing happened. Especially not when the owner of the said club was the girl Lu Jin accused of scheming for his wealth.
'No wonder she reacted differently. To begin with, she was never one of those females.' Recalling the girl's cold and indifferent expression, Long Tian couldn't help but feel embarrassed and increase his pace.
Seeing them make such a mockery of themselves, she must have laughed at them, right?
"Tian Tian, where are you going? The club's entrance is this way!" Lu Jin shouted after him.
"What, you haven't embarrassed yourself enough? Do you still have the face to enter the Ivy Club after the little farce earlier? Go and enjoy yourself if you want, but I'm going home." Giving her a cold glance, Long Tian decisively strode towards his black hover.
Fu Ji Ren and Ouyang Gu exchanged looks and smiled.
Long Tian not giving priority to Lu Jin's wants was a first.
Immediately after, they wiped the smile off their faces and ran after him.
Left alone and looking pathetic, Lu Jin's face turned red with shame as she sensed the pitiful looks of the surrounding crowd. She angrily stomped her foot and shot a malicious glare towards the VIP entrance.
Tightly clenching her fists, she turned and chased after the three men.
'Li Qing Yue! Just wait! One day, I will return this humiliation back to you tenfold!'
