43. Stretching by Wiping out bandits, First impression and Restarting war

' This is quite common event, no matter how many worlds I've visited' Ei thought as she witnessed the whole commotion from how the girl begged to the adventurers, and how she lashed out to them after being rejected. The girl is clearly a devout believer to the Goddess yet haven't fully seen the whole "dark side" of reality hence instead of a pissed off adventurer scolding her, all she got as response is pity from them who knows that no matter how much you pray to the Goddess in the end you won't get answers.

The girl still with tears on her eyes, left the building and Ei decided to follow her because she knows some ill-minded thugs are going after the girl and boy she was right.

A young boy who's clearly a demi-human has been held up by the girl, injured and beaten up by the thugs as they threaten the girl to give the money to them.

Ei decided to act as the thugs want to do something that will scar the girl her whole life, and in a few breaths the thugs were all beaten up without knowing how or who beat them up.

The girl bows in gratitude as Ei both took care of the thugs and healed her werewolf friend, she introduced herself as Rana and her friend Eto.

She explains the modus operandi of the bandits and told Ei that they won't be spared despite giving all of their valuables to them, she added that the strongest man in their village as well as his pregnant wife was killed

Ei decided to wipe out the bandits as she grab both kids and began to jog and slowly turn to a full run with a few jumps filled with screams of the two passengers and eventually reaches the girl's village.

The boy asked Ei if there's any way to repay to her and Ei just told him that she owns a company who treats everyone equally and told him to help her employees if one day they reached this village.

Ei left to the mountain and wiped out all the bandits with her bow and her naginata. She didn't spare a single one bandit, a life for a life as they say. She then teleported back to town as she and Shiki will be on their way to the next town through teleportation circle.

Turning the clock a bit...

As Ei left with the kids on another place there is a lot of people, an army from two nations to be precise are preparing for an operation to retake a fortress as their first step to reignite the flames of war between Hyumans and Demons and they are more confident with their two heroes at the forefront.

And this heroes are having their first meeting, and it didn't end well for Hibiki.

Tomoki's blunt words are grating in Hibiki's ears and adding his arrogance on top of that only stresses out the heroine of Limia, and just because of Tomoki's immortality ability they decided to attack at night without caring the Limia's response.

Its quite clear to Hibiki that Tomoki may be annoying, but it is the Gritonian princess she should watch out for.

She also decided to keep her and her party's distance after finding out that something strange is happening in Hibiki's party, like they were affected mentally.

But she set aside this issue for now, divided caused by infighting is not what she wants at the present. She and everyone will be at war in a few hours.
