Meet The Author

Next morning, Christian woke up to an empty bed space next to him. He was wondering where Jeanohntae went. He thought to himself. 'Maybe she's still mad and went into the library.'

He got off the bed and into the bathroom to freshen up. He wanted to check on Jeanohntae before leaving but he did not want to upset her. He got dressed in his designer suit and headed down stairs preparing to leave.

Halfway down the steps, he smelled something incredible and his stomach started grumbling. As he walked into the kitchen, he saw Joseph and Rudy sitting at the table smiling. "Why are you guys smiling!?? And what is that smell!?? It smells amazing."

Joseph turned to look at Christian. "Go to the kitchen and look." Christian turned his head in the direction of the kitchen and thought it was his stepmother Nikki cooking, so he decided to not check. "No it's okay. I have to get to work. I'll grab a bite on my way."

Christian starting walking to the door when Rudy stopped him. "Chris, just have a little look in the kitchen. I'll bet you won't need to stop somewhere to eat before heading to work." Christian stopped in his tracks and listened to his Uncle. He put his bag down and started making his way to the kitchen.

Before he got to the kitchen door, Joseph chimed in laughing. "And I'll bet you won't want to go to work afterwards." Those little words got Christian interested as to what was that smell and who was the cause of it.

Christian slowly opened the kitchen door and who he saw standing at the stove shocked him. He opened the kitchen door wider and just stood there staring. He could not believe his eyes. They were right, he did not want to go to work. He wanted to just stand there and stare all day.

Jeanohntae turned around and was frightened to see Christian standing at the doorway staring at her. "Christian what the heck. You scared me." Christian snapped out of his daze and smiled. "Sorry, I just couldn't stop staring, you look beautiful."

Jeanohntae calmed her fast beating heart and smiled. "Well, good morning. Breakfast is already done. You can sit outside and wait for me, or help set the table while I bring the food out."

Christian grabbed the plates and before walking out, he whispered in Jeanohntae's ear. "You look nice in an apron. Maybe you should stay like that all day." Jeanohntae turned around smacked Christian on the arm. "You can be a real Jerk." Christian started laughing and walked out of the kitchen and to the table. Joseph was surprised to see him setting the table. Joseph opened his mouth to say something when Christian interrupted. "Don't say it dad. Jean just asked me to help, so I am."

Joseph just remembered that he gave everyone the day off and they won't be back till evening time.

Rudy started laughing. "You never could tell her no. Whatever she says is absolute when it comes to you. You have an extremely soft spot when it comes to her." Christian's face turned red. As soon as he was done setting the table. Jeanohntae walked out with two platters of food. She set it down and turned go walk to the kitchen again.

"Where are you going!?? Joseph asked. "Oh, I'm gonna go get the last two platters." Christian stopped Jeanohntae from walking any further. "It's alright. You sit down and I'll go get it." Christian walked into the kitchen and saw the two platters. He grabbed them both with one hand and walked out the kitchen.

When Jeanohntae turned to Christian holding the platters, she saw him picking on the food while walking to the table. "Christian, you're supposed to bring them out, not eat it on your way out." Christian started laughing and placed the food down. "Sorry, it just looked so good. It tastes even better."

Christian sat down and they were about to start eating when the doorbell rang. "I'll get it." Christian stood up and went to the door. When he saw who was outside, he grunted and reluctantly opened the door. "I thought you weren't supposed to be here till after your book signing which usually takes a week."

The Author smiled and walked in. "I ended it early. I wanted to stop by as soon as I can to visit." Christian put his hand in his pocket and glared at him. "So you disrupted my perfectly amazing breakfast just to visit!??" The Author turned to the table where the three were sitting and saw the amazing food. "Oh I'm sorry, did not mean to interrupt you guys but I mean wow! The food smells amazing."

Jeanohntae stood up and smiled. "Well why don't you join us for breakfast then!?? There's enough for everyone." Joseph agreed with her. "Yes, come and eat with us. You're always welcomed." The Author walked to the table and sat down. "Well thank you. It looks so delicious."

Rudy looked at the Author and smiled. "Hello it's nice to see you again." The Author looked at Rudy and remembered. "Oh yeah! You always say you're getting a book for your daughter because she's too busy to get it. I'm guessing Jeanohntae is the beautiful daughter you're always talking about." Rudy started laughing. "Yes. Jeanohntae is my beautiful baby girl."

Christian stood near the door glaring. Jeanohntae noticed and walked towards Christian and said in a soft and low voice. "Come on, let's eat. There's gonna be nothing left if you just stand there staring." Jeanohntae pulled Christian to the table to sit down and eat.

After everyone was done eating Jeanohntae looked at the time and then to Christian. "Aren't you suppose to go to work!?? It's already 8 O'clock." Christian shook his head. He was too full to go to work. "I can work from the office. Besides, your food was amazing that I ate more than I usually would."

Christian got up and was getting his bag. "I'll be upstairs in my office." He turned away and walked up stairs. Jeanohntae felt like something was off with Christian and decided to go after him. "Excuse me. I'm gonna go talk to him."

When Jeanohntae got upstairs, Christian was already inside his office typing away on his computer. Jeanohntae opened the office door and walked in closing the door behind her. Christian looked up and stopped working. "Are you okay!?? You seemed a little irritated downstairs." Jeanohntae asked in a sweet voice.

Christian looked at her with a confused look. "Sweetheart, I'm not irritated. I just really need to get to work. I have a lot of paperwork I need to do." He looked back at his computer and starting typing again. Jeanohntae didn't know what else to do, so she wanted to help.

"Is there anything I can do to help you!?? I'm not really a paperwork kind of person, but I can help you." Christian smiled at her attempt to help so he agreed and handed her a stack of files. "Okay then. you can just sort out these files by their dates and later I'll teach you everything else." Jeanohntae happily took the files and sat down on the couch.

An hour later. there was a knock on the office door. "Come in." Christian said in a loud demanding voice. The door opened and the Author walked in. "Hello, I just came to talk about my book with Jeanohntae." Christian looked at Jeanohntae who was too focused on the files. "Jean." Jeanohntae looked up from the files and at Christian. "He's here to talk to you about something."

Jeanohntae looked up and saw the Author. "Yes, Can I help you with something!??" The Author sat down opposite of her and smiled. "I believe Christian told you he knew my name!??" Jeanohntae smiled and responded. "Yes, I he told me he knew your name but didn't want to say."

The Author chuckled at her words. "Well of course I could trust Christian with my secret, and because you're with Christian I feel like I can trust you too." Jeanihntae blushed at his words and Christian smiled slightly.

"My Initials are C.J.S which stand for Camrin Joe Sawyer. Everyone who knows me usually calls me Cam. Nice to meet you." Jeanohntae was shocked. She had no words to say. He wasted no time telling Jeanohntae his name.

Camrin smiled and looked at Christian. "Is she always like this!??" Christian laughed and nodded. "Whenever something surprises her, she is at a loss for words."

Christian started going back to work and shaking his head laughing. Camrin also laughed and stood up to leave. "Well, thank you for breakfast but I really must go. I'll come back another day." Jeanohntae snapped herself out of her shock and stood up. "You're welcome, but I have a question about your new book. It was blank. Theres was no words or anything."

Camrin turned around and smiled. "Well, I wanted to come up with a different approach for everyone. I want my fans to write their own books. I want to see the creativity of others. I can't wait to see what you write." Camrin did not give Jeanohntae time to respond and left.

Christian saw the look on Jeanohntae's face and started laughing.
