ISSUE #9

John and Noriko sat on the womans bed cuddled up listening to music as Noriko stared at the picture she had of her family. Until that is their teammate Jay Gutherie walked in and pulled the earphones off the two's heads.

" Not now Jay."

John said to the man.

" Sorry, guys. I knocked but you didn't hear me."

Jay said to the man.

" What do you want Jay?"

Noriko asked the boy.

" I figured I let you guys blow off some steam. But neither of you showed up for English."

Jay said to the two.

" Jay... You have a family. You didn't lose everything."

Noriko said to the boy.

" I know that. Trust me I know."

Jay replied.

" Jay maybe now's not the best time."

John said to the man.

" I can see that. But I didn't think you'd trash your room this bad."

Jay said.

" Trashed?"

The two of them said in unison. They then looked up and where shocked to see Noriko's room in shambles.

" What the hell?"

John asked in shock.

" We didn't do this. My roommates a neat freak. It was clean when John came in!"

Noriko explained to the boy.

" Yeah!"

John nodded in agreement.

" Yeah? Okay, things are definitely getting weird around here."

Jay said aloud.

" We have the Danger Room soon. Let's go before we're late. But later we're definitely going to have to figure this out."

John said as he gestured to the strangely wrecked room.

" On second thought maybe, we should tell Dani. I definitely don't want to go in the Danger Room with a ghost around."

John changed his mind instantly.

" Yeah, I agree man."

Jay said and Noriko nodded in agreement

" Alright, Jay, we'll meet you in the Danger Room."

John said to the man.

Taking the hint Jay nodded and quickly left the room. John then turned back to Noriko and placed his hand on her cheek.

" Are you going to be, okay? You can sit this one out if you need to."

John said to the girl.

" No, I'm okay now John. But thank you for what you said. And thank you for holding me."

Noriko said as she hugged the man.

John wrapped his arms around her body and held her close to him.

" Alright, let's go show Kim how we tear it up in the danger room."

John said to the woman.

Five minutes later.

" AH!!! Why the hell am I stuck in a rubber ball?!"

John asked as he struggled inside his prison.

" Because Rubber isn't a conductor, so you can't use your lightning to get out of it."

Dani explained.

" But how the hell am I going to give directions to the others if i can't see?!"

John asked.

" You aren't it's up to your teammates to get you out of there. Being the strongest you are the deadliest and must be secured properly."

Dani explained.

" Josh, if you get me out of this, I promise to prank Julian anyway you ask!"

John yelled to the man.

John sat inside his rubber prison until after the rest of the team was freed from theirs only David had the reflexes to get to him.

" Ah! Finally, it was hot in there!"

John complained as he got to his feet.

" Good job team."

" Too much energy in... Too much energy out."

Noriko groaned as she sat on the floor.

" Uh-oh. Hey teacher. Noriko's not doing too good down here."

John said to the woman as he walked over to Noriko.

Dani walked down from her position in the observation deck and knelt down to talk to Noriko when suddenly Kim ran down to tell the others she was a mutant too.

" I'm telling you I can see dead people."

Kim said to the group.

" You've seen way too many movies"

Noriko said to the girl.

" He spoke to you? Just now?"

Dani asked the girl.

" I swear Dani, I'm not lying. Up there."

Kim said to the woman.

" Look, Kim we haven't proven that there's a ghost here."

David said to the girl.

" No, David I can definitely feel something."

John said to the boy.

" And Kim's right someone is up there. Whoever it is... He's dead. I can feel it."

Dani said

And suddenly the Danger Room Turned on and Magneto appeared.

" You've challenged me for the last time X-Men!"

Magento said to the group menacingly.

" Hey, that's magneto! This is so not good even if it is a simulation. he used to battle all of the X-Men. And win!"

Josh exclaimed

Suddenly a large chunk of metal fell towards Laurie and Josh.

" MOVE!"

John yelled as he shoved the two out of the way.

" Keep your heads up and move."

John said to the two before getting back to his feet.

" He's messed with my gauntlets. I'm pulling in too much energy! I'm going to overload!"

Noriko yelled in terror as energy flowed into her rapidly.

" Noriko!"

John yelled as he ran to the girl.

" Give me your hands."

John said to the girl.

He grabbed Noriko's gauntlets and let the energy flow into his body releasing it before Noriko overloaded. Wiping both of the electric types of energy.

Thankfully someone arrived in time to shut the danger room off.

" Ugh! Whoever did that. Thank you."

John groaned as he collapsed onto his back.
