Chapter-8

"So, It's actually like that" Lui Yang muttered under his breath.

Raising his head and looking around, he could see Xu le and Xu Yi were still sleeping soundly.

By now it was already morning and the sun has already risen, bringing in a new light for the new day, but he wasn't in a mood to care.

After reading the book for the entire night, he felt tricked, backstabbed, and quite possibly bamboozled.

"So that was actually the soul world?" He muttered.

He wasn't entirely unfamiliar with the term 'Soul world', he often heard the NPC from the game mention this term.

To think he would actually encounter it here, after transmigrating, it was quite unbelievable.

~But was it really the infamous soul world~ he questioned.

'Only One way to find out then' thinking this Liu Yang began to sit in a cross-legged position.

Closing his eyes he began to meditate.

...

According to the book 'Beginner's guide to magic'.

The soul world formation marks the beginning of one's journey to mage hood.

It is also one of the most important thing to a mage, it is what makes a mage, a magi, and a magi cast a spell, it was the foundation and beginning of all magical power.

However, not everybody could enter this world, as not everyone could 'construct' this world.

Yes, the soul world was not a real-world that exists like other worlds, Rather it is a world that exists within the soul and what the inner part of our soul has taken the form of, in accordance to the meditation set they practice.

If a person could not construct it, he or she could never be a magi.

As for those who had successfully constructed it, then congratulations to them, as they had successfully walked on the path of magic and now could be called an apprentice mage.

And to them entering this world is as easy as breathing, one only needs to train a.k.a meditate to enter this world.

...

Opening his eyes, Lui Yang was back in the Sea of the setting sun world, his head slightly spins for a moment, but it was not as bad as the first time.

Of course, it was not literal teleportation, it was just his consciousness entering the innermost part of his soul, his body was still in the normal world, in a meditative state.

Looking at the beautiful setting sun on the horizon and the beautiful sea under his feet, Liu Yang concluded that he had indeed formed a soul world.

~Could this be concluded as a deviation or change in the meditation set? ~

Lui Yang did not know.

Forming a 'soul-world' was how NPC's in the game originally become a mage to begin with, had he become an NPC-like entity? he doubts it.

Change bought by meditation set was a more likely explanation, either that or...

Liu Yang was suspicious at this moment this could be a change bought by a meditation set or this way becoming a mage had already existed in reality since immemorial times and was not exclusive to the game.

Everything was fine if it was the former, but if this was the latter, the developing team behind the game of 'The great thousand worlds' would be incredibly suspicious.

Liu Yang stops his wild thoughts here, there was no use thinking much about a question he might never get an answer about.

Anyway, Looking around the Sea of the setting sun-world, Liu Yang took a deep breath, although he was surrounded by mysteries, nothing could compare to the sight he was seeing right now.

And after hesitating for a moment Lui Yang slowly raises his hands and begins to draw something in the air.

Strangely as if Lui yang was holding something bright in his hands, the path that his hand had moved by was followed by a trail of light,

And as those trails of lights becomes etched in the air slowly a word or in this term, a rune was formed.

The rune began glowing brightly as it bends the surrounding space as it tries to solidify itself then -BOom.

Like thousand of Fireflies being scattered it suddenly exploded like an inflated motor tire and disappears.

Even Liu Yang was startled by this outcome but was not surprised.

It was only natural.

What Liu Yang did just now was 'engraving a spell' like the NPC characters, according to how it was written in the book.

In the game, when players 'learned a spell' all the things they would need to do would add a skill point to a specific spell in the skill tree, and that skill rune would be lit up, and behold they could now use a new skill/spell.

But for the natives of the game, it was different for every other class, in particular for the mage to 'learn a spell' they had successfully to engrave the 'rune' of that spell into their soul world, this was the only way for them to 'learn a spell'.

What Liu Yang tried to engrave just now was the most Basic Fireball rune, written in the skill tree.

Not only the fireball but every other level-1 spell rune were written in the skill tree with a '+' sign below it, so the players could add skill points to any skill they desire.

Although Liu Yang failed this time, he now knew it was definitely possible to learn a spell this way, instead of wasting skill points, so this venture could be considered successful.

After trying it again a few more times and failing, Liu Yang gave up and snaps himself out of the meditative state, and returns back to reality.

~Although it cost no skill point, it really wasn't easy~

Opening his eyes again, he realise Xu le and Xu Yi were no longer there, he smiled.

It seems he had spent much time in the soul world he actually missed Xu le waking up to check on the small garden, and this time it seems Xu Yi also followed.

Never mind, lets the kid enjoy their new find health.

Thinking of this Liu Yang then direct his attention to the next important thing.

In the corners of his vision were a bunch of notifications.

He had leveled up five levels in a row, he had now become a level-5 apprentice.

However, to Liu Yang, this was a tad bit slow, if this was in the game, after playing for an entire night, his level although would not be too exaggerated would definitely be more higher than this.

Unfortunately, Lui Yang could not gain experience this way for now.

Thinking of the rest 95 levels to cross the apprentice level, Liu Yang's head hurt.

He had to quickly find a way to gain exp points.

Putting aside the troublesome things that he can't do anything about right now, Lui Yang smiled thinking about certain things that he might actually find a solution to.

~So what if he had no knowledge in cultivation? wasn't he suppose to mage that had transcended everything? Who cares about hard you punch if could throw out flaming balls of fire~

Right, Liu Yang had decided that he would try to make his two disciples magi.
