David reappears, Farm Land Reform!

The agents' actions soon bore fruit.

The local police quietly dropped the charges against David.

The cleansing of the interior continues.

According to Davis, nearly a dozen people have recently been arrested and investigated, and the department's plutocrats are stepping down.

And replaced them with younger, more righteous cops.

At a recent meeting of the group, Lynn and Davis both praised Adams for doing a good job, but for not being very safe in exposing the dirty work.

"You could have consulted us, Adams. That's what a meeting is all about."

"This could have been avoided if you had warned me," Lin said reproachfully.

"However, you are my lucky star. The top is very dissatisfied with the mayor's performance, and I suggest that he propose to resign himself. I will temporarily serve as mayor!"

Lynn's face is full of smiles. Her smile is incredibly beautiful and radiates confidence.

"This is good news. Congratulations, Lin."

Lynn smiled politely and continued, "My first act as acting mayor was to push through the farmland reform bill, Adams, and I should congratulate you."

When Lin said this, Adams wondered why she was congratulating me and what the farmland reform bill had to do with him.

"State law prevents commercial use of farms," Davis explained. "It was meant to protect agricultural land, but the development of the new district was necessary..."

Adams knew full well, that he could recite the laws of the state.

He had waited a long time for this day to come and was prepared for a long wait.

Unexpectedly, Lin's ascension promoted the process of land reform.

After careful inquiry, he understood that The original Goda and the former mayor are related, goda's family is running amok in this state, are the old mayor's protection!

All this makes sense since the goda affair has caused a drop in support, the opposition has fuelled it, and the old mayor will be held to account.

The old mayor had been in office for so long that being forced out would have been the most honorable way out.

Lin pushed for land reform, on the one hand desperately needed a political achievement to establish herself in the agency position, and on the other hand, to sell Adams a favor.

Adams was no mindless upstart, and he certainly knew how to thank Lynne.

"Lin, why don't I give you a ride?"

"Ok, I'll bother you to be the driver for a while."

A cold wind blew as the Porsche sped away.

Just when Adams didn't know how to say thank you, Lin was a public official and money was not an option, so what should he give?

As he stared, Linn's hand landed on his lap, startling Adams.

"Girl, I'm driving."

Instead of letting go, Lin pinched his soft thigh and said mockingly, "Tell me, how do you thank me?"

Adams frowned, thinking.

"You want to give me something? You are the closest people in the world to me, and farmland reform must be done in this state without me."

"Did you guess that when you invested?" Lynn was not deceived by Adams's simplicity; he was a slippery fellow.

He was indeed a prodigy of business, and some people, even thinking of it, would not have had the gumption to buy so many acres at once.

Lin thought of what, very seriously to remind Adams: "after the revised land act comes into effect, you have the most land is bound to become the price of land, do not be too greedy, must remember to find a few big buyers to share the pressure."

Adams knew that Lin was afraid that Adams was too greedy, that he would raise the market value of the land too high, and that trouble would ensue.

As for anyone who could share the pressure, Adams didn't have any good candidates, so he could ask Robert to help advertise in case a suitable buyer came to his door.

After sending Lin home, Adams was met by a familiar figure in the underground garage.

David seemed to have been waiting for him in the garage for a long time, standing motionless in the blind corner of the surveillance camera, where Adams would have missed him had he not been so vigilant.
