"Father!" Zhan Yanhui entered her father's room where the doctor had just finished examining him where she rushed to stay by his side. Her eyes scanned her father's appearance anxiously as she asked. "Are you okay? Were you injured?"

General Zhan laughed happily seeing how concerned she was about him, covering her hands with his own as he reassured her warmly. "I am okay. Look at me, there is nothing to be worried about." His eyes strayed sideways before he deliberately lowered his voice and said to her. "Hui'er, I need your help..."

Zhan Yanhui followed her father's eyes and finally realized her mother's presence as she stood with her angry back facing the both of them. She could distinctively guess what had happened between them so she shared a look with her father before she went to sit beside her mother. "Mother, I am home."
