Realize and Analyze

Hiro's everyday routine after getting home consisted of preparing the bath.

Hiro took a quick shower after working out with his mother in the morning. As a Japanese guy, from the young age, he became acquainted with the allure of soaking in a bath tub and hot springs.

Hiro would heat the water, fill the tub, and clean his body before bathing in hot water to wash away the day's fatigue. His mother would be home from work by the time he got out of the bath.

Hiro and his mother spent some time talking about their day, enjoying some mother-son bonding.

The next thing on his to-do list was to complete his homework and review the content covered in class. Hiro was never overburdened with schoolwork because he studied every day and didn't let stuff pile up, which is typical of the routine enthusiast.

His father would come home and jump in the bath while he was doing his homework.

Unlike Hiro and his father, who preferred their baths to be taken just after they arrived home, Hiro's mother took one before going to bed.

Hiro would then prepare the table, and the Yagami family would eat away from the television, before the dining table. They enjoyed talking to each other throughout the dinner, and it was a fantastic time for the family to bond.

Hiro's parents were unable to attend the game, therefore the topic for today was the game; Hiro told them about his friends, the opposing team, the score, and who they would face on day three.

"Me and your mother, We are free on the day of the finals," his father said, "do you think you and your team could go all the way?" with curiosity

With a confident grin, Hiro nodded his head, "Of course, after all, our team this year is quite skilled."

"Then we'll come to watch your match. I haven't seen my baby boy play in a long time!" With a smile, Hiro's mother said.

Hiro sighed and said, "Mom! I'm no longer a baby. I am already twelve years old and will turn thirteen the following month." with a shaky smile

Hiro's parents both laughed as they saw him get embarrassed.

...

Hiro's parents went on their daily walk together after dinner to spend some time alone with each other.

"They sure act all lovey-dovey; why couldn't they just make me a younger sister or a brother may be?" Hiro smiled to himself as he pondered.

The only thing left to do was view Fukushima Middle's match footage and see how far the team had progressed.

Hiro discovered two players on Fukushima middle who were any good when watching the video, Haruto Nagamo, who played center, and Akira Daiki, who played power forward, both of whom were second years.

The remainder of the team wasn't bad, but they weren't great either.

They were all tall and skilled, but that was about it.

Akira Daiki moved quickly and with precision. He could easily leave his mark, and his quick movements and skills were more than enough to manage most tough circumstances.

Unlike Arai, who balanced offence and defence, Akira Daiki was all offence and left defence to Haruto Nagamo and his team.

Haruto Nagamo, their ace and most skilled player, is now up.

Haruto is a powerful center with exceptional technical abilities. To put it another way, if he was, Haruto was an effective player with very little wasted movement in his plays. He was speedy under the basket and had a good sense of timing while jumping for rebounds.

Haruto Nagamo was the same height as Arai, standing at 184 cm, but he was more agile and powerful.

And, after rewinding the video several times, he concluded that Haruto's current level of Right of Deferral offered him the same advantage in post plays as his Speed Explosion.

Hiro recognised that in the future, Haruto's larger hands would give him more control in deciding plays in the paint, but he also knew that if he worked on his speed and explosiveness, he would be able to slow down Haruto's 'impossible to predict' plays.

Hiro turned off the tv and went to bed. Shun called the second day night.

"Haranishi Middle would be playing tomorrow, but I don't think I'd be able to go watch because the stadium is far away and the coach wouldn't take any guys! At the very least, I'll have a video of their game!" Hiro closed his eyes and fell off to sleep, as he spoke quietly.

What Hiro didn't realise was that he wasn't the only one analysing the champions' game; Haranishi, Fukushima, and other schools were as well.

Being an undisputed champion or even a well-known team, meant that there was a lot of data accessible about them, and people would try to devise tactics to destroy their team with each game they played.

From the standpoint of the other teams, this year's Kamiya was dominant; Sano Kojiro and Arai Goro had acquired a lot of height and could easily muscle out the majority of their contemporaries. Chiba Yoshinaka, despite not exceptionally athletic, possessed good fundamental skills and experience.

Then there was Utada Yuki, who was a national level player and a scary shooter even though no one knew about his'special' shooting style.

Last but not least was Yagami Hiro, the brand new rookie who earned the title of Shot Maker.

Despite the fact that it was only one game, the majority of the spectators viewed Hiros' performance, for what it was, exceptional.

Veteran middle and high school coaches aiming to recruit promising third-years noted how he hamstrung Musashi Middle's teamwork and scoring abilities.

Not to mention, his cool-ness made impact on the girls from even the opponent schools, to join the Hiro Fan Squad from his academy.

But it was the last five minutes, when he just used one pattern and still managed to score every time, that startled them the most. They didn't even know how to put it.

Most people shifted between moves to fool the defense, but how do you characterize a player who was able to score repeatedly and constantly with a single move!

They couldn't help but to be surprised.
