"This won't do."
Liu Feng had stayed for three more days in the village before he couldn't take it anymore.
Where was that bastard? Why was he taking so long to attack?!
By this time, Liu Feng's wariness had worn off, replaced with weariness and frustration.
Because he had carelessly spent all of the DP for his experiment—which turned out to be fruitless—he quickly ran out of things to do.
Other than cooking for the Shu family, eating, and cultivating, Liu Feng had spent the rest of his time guarding the village's gates, leaving Shu Fanrong and the rest of his disciples frustrated.
It was doubly true for his new villager disciples, who Liu Feng took under his tutelage a while ago. When they saw that Wu Nao had been parted a cultivation manual, the rest of them quickly got excited. But, it all turned out to be for naught, as their master seemed to be preoccupied with something else.
Shu Fanrong was also annoyed as not only had she made zero progress in her quest to find a strong opponent, her master also refused to listen to her pleas. Because of this, she went and isolated herself in the mountain to cultivate instead of wasting her time.
However, without the spirit stones, her progress was slow.
For Shu Fanrong, who had grown used to quick progress, this was unbearably boring. Still, without anything else to do, she persevered.
As Liu Feng was in deep thought, he came to a decision.
"That's it! I can't stand idly anymore. I'll be proactive."
He talked to Shu Dashou, who served as the de facto leader of the village.
"Shu Dashou."
"Senior Liu, what seems to be the matter?"
Shu Dashou, who was one of the only villagers not to come under Liu Feng's tutelage, kept calling him Senior Liu.
"The village. I've determined that it's in danger."
"Ah? But it has been peaceful for more than a week now."
Thinking back to the chaos that was the beast tides, Shu Dashou really did prefer peace.
"The man behind the beast tides. I can feel that he's close to attacking again."
Shu Dashou stood up in alarm. He couldn't take the words of someone like Liu Feng lightly.
"What kind of attack? Is that bastard gonna send more beasts?"
"I haven't determined yet, but for now you need to evacuate as soon as possible."
"Evacuate? You mean abandon?" Shu Dashou flared up at the suggestion of evacuation. "I'm sorry, Senior Liu, but we cannot abandon our homes."
"Isn't an upcoming attack enough of a reason?"
"Senior, you just said you don't know the nature of this attack. Besides, you're here, can't you just drive the attacker away?"
"It seems you've gotten too comfortable with my presence here."
Shu Dashou felt a chill run down his spine as he saw Liu Feng's cold gaze. In the end, he was a cultivator, a higher being than him, a mere mortal. His tone was inexcusable.
Liu Feng shook his head. "I've got places to be. I cannot just be sitting around here forever."
"But, Senior!" Shu Dashou hesitated to voice out his opposition.
Liu Feng showed no reaction to his refusal other than a slight sigh. "It can't be helped—I'll just do it by force."
As he turned his back to exit the house, Shu Dashou gulped nervously. What was the cultivator gonna do to force them to leave?!
After a moment of reluctance, Shu Dashou steeled himself to go outside. He had to reason with the cultivator before something bad happens!
"Senior Liu!"
"Okay, everyone, please move to the mountains—We're going to start training. You'll be staying for two months, so pack up your stuff. Ah, also, bring everyone you know for no specific reason. If you don't follow, you'll be kicked out of the sect! If anyone stays in the village, all of you gets kicked out as well! I don't want anyone left in the village, you got that?!"
Liu Feng, who had cajoled everyone into becoming his disciple, exercised the power of a sect master for the first time.
The villagers had heard his words and quickly began moving.
"Come on, let's hurry! If we don't follow, we're gonna be kicked out of the sect!"
"W, where are we going?"
"Come on, grandma, don't ruin it for everyone!"
"That's right, old hag!"
Shu Dashou was dumbfounded by the approach that Liu Feng took.
This is... doing it by force?
Why was it different from the image he had in mind?
He had expected Liu Feng to threaten everyone's lives if they didn't follow. Instead, he threatened their disciple status...
It was underhanded, to say the least!
"Eh, if he could do this in the first place, why would he ask me first?" Shu Dashou's thoughts were a bit jumbled.
While Shu Dashou was stuck in his thoughts, Liu Feng chuckled. His plan had worked!
Watching the scene before him, Liu Feng thought that accepting the villagers as his disciples really was a great decision. Hitting three birds with one stone, he was able to complete the achievements pertaining to the number of disciples he had. He would also gain more DP on the next turnover. Finally, he could exert dominance over the villagers!
With this, even Shu Dashou had no right to refuse, as he would be destroying everyone else's wishes.
The news quickly spread throughout the village.
By the next sunset, the village was empty, and everyone made it inside the barrier.
.....
Jing Hei sneered. All the preparations for his master plan were complete! None of the villagers would be able to escape his wrath, not to mention kidnapping that insanely talented kid.
"Da Jirou, are you ready?"
Da Jirou, who had big muscles, was not afraid to expose his chest hair, which was as thick as a sheep's unshorn wool.
"I am always ready! Let's get a move on already!"
"You're the one who arrived here a week late!" Jing Hei was frustrated at the person his sect had sent to support his mission.
Da Jirou was infamous in their sect, mostly for being obsessed with not wearing a top. Jing Hei felt a bit uncomfortable with someone who always exposed their chest hair.
"Well, at least he's not as weak as Li Buqu."
With that thought in mind, Jing Hei led Da Jirou towards the village.
