Reyka took no time at all as she shifted. The wolf snarled, showcasing her teeth. Her stance was low to the ground, like stalking prey and not a fellow wolf.
She was looking down on Rain.
Good.
Reyka’s steps were heavy as she circled the arena, body bulky.
She’d never fought a pack wolf before. Only rogues.
Thus, Reyka was clearly expecting this to be easy, to take down the filthy rogue without any trouble.
Her arrogance would be her downfall.
With bored eyes, Rain didn’t move an inch, body relaxed without a hint of fear to be seen.
Reyka snarled, fur puffing up to intimidate her but Rain wasn’t impressed in the slightest. She yawned into her hand, still watching her opponent from the corner of her eye. Just as she anticipated, Reyka growled, pouncing toward Rain.
Rain sidestepped the angry wolf, crouching as the wolf’s bulky body soared over her. Before Reyka’s paws touched the ground, body twisting to chase after Rain, a foot connected with the wolf’s side.
