POV Noah

I go back to the Book Bazaar they haven't closed yet it's a relief, thank God they give me back my wallet I feel bad for Melek, I didn't invite her to dinner she is a great girl, I don't know how she managed to get so close to my brother in such a short time you can tell they are friends I mean my brother looks very happy by her side, I was even too surprised that he invited her to the family dinner I thought he wouldn't attend.

I am leaving the place, when I stumble upon a young woman her face looks very familiar, she fell to the ground and I try to help her up when I see her face it is Emily Parker.

Flashback

It was a summer at school, in the middle of the semester a new classmate joined our class, a very pretty girl with straight brown hair, brown eyes, and tanned skin, slim build, she was the center of attention.

She sat right in front of me, and needless to say, I forged a great friendship with her, I think I fell in love without realizing it, physically I have changed a lot I was not attractive at all before I struggled too much with acne and had a rather thin and tall physique I don't know how but since I met her I never forgot her.

It was one afternoon after school when she was on the swings alone when I approached her and told her.

" I'll walk you home.

She looked up and saw me sadly.

" The day is over and everyone is going home, but I don't want to go home, no one is waiting for me there.

I extended my hand and smiled at him.

" You want to come to mine," I said kindly.

She took my hand and smiled back.

That day we walked together to my house, we went up to my room, my mother was still alive, she was in pregnant for Max when I saw my mother she smiled and told me.

" I can be anything you want me to be," I tell her as I look into her eyes.

She looks at me in surprise, not knowing what to say.

I confessed my feelings and gave her my first kiss.

She accepted my feelings, and we started a love relationship but two years later her family moved and her parents divorced without advice one day she simply disappeared and I never heard from her again, my childhood love, I was quite marked by her because my feelings were very sincere, I lost contact, I always looked for her, I heard news sporadically, however, I did not hear from her for more than 8 years.

" Emily, it's you," I exclaimed, puzzled.

She stands up and looks at me in surprise.

"Noah answers.

"You're all right, I didn't hurt you," I said, smiling.

"I'm fine," Emily says as she shakes out her clothes.

"It's a great surprise to see you here, it's been a long time since I haven't heard from you.

"Well, I didn't recognize you, you look very different from before," said Emily.

"Yes, I have changed a little, you are still the same.

"Would you like to have dinner and talk? I mean, I don't know much about you," I asked.

"It's okay, although I have another commitment later.

We headed to a restaurant.

Emily looked a little nervous but she was the same girl from years ago.

We ordered and I began to ask him questions.

"What has become of your life?

" Well, I am a writer.

"It was a sign that you always liked novels and books," I answered.

"Are you married? " I asked anxiously

She is a little uncomfortable with that question.

That night I couldn't help myself and ask about everything I was curious about these years apart, we exchanged numbers to keep in touch, he is staying in Boston which makes it ideal.

It's strange but seeing her made me feel like the inexperienced young man from before.

POV Max

I go back to college, get to my room, and see Mattew is already asleep snoring I just can't sleep so I go outside, I have my cell phone in hand when I get a call from the goodies it's a surprise I get nervous out of nowhere why would she be calling me.

"Hello fatty, you missed me.

"No, I just don't know what to do Max, it hurts me not to be honest with Noah, I would have loved to be honest with him and tell him how I feel," exclaims Melek sadly.

" Believe me unfortunately I know how it feels, but I think you should forget it, it will serve as a lesson for you, you know what matters is the last love and not the first love," I answer.

" I will not have another love, I will be an outcast and a spinster all my life.

" Why do you torture yourself," I asked.

" It's not torture, it's reality," says Melek.

" Forget it, you better tell me when we go out dancing, this time it's your turn to pay, I paid last time.

" Ashhh what a cheapskate you are, I have no idea how you even get girls with that attitude.

"Well, then let's go to the movies, popcorn, soda and everything is on me," I say excitedly.

" Yes, although I'm not in the habit of going out to the movies with my girlfriends, I owe you one for the restaurant so you say tomorrow, you want to go see a movie with me .".

We agreed to go out tomorrow and I will pick her up because she doesn't have a car, I feel excited and nervous at the thought of being with her.
