254: Fanning the flames

During January, every breath in the capital city seemed to freeze; even in his thick cotton coat, Yang Jin still felt unbearably cold, wishing he could curl up to escape the biting frost.

He wore a semi-worn cotton hat, covering more than half of his face, walking swiftly through the streets of the market. Arriving soon at a previously agreed meeting spot, he spotted a frail man squatting in the corner, waiting for him.

Yang Jin walked over and prodded him with the tip of his foot.

The man immediately looked up, saw Yang Jin, and quickly stood up with a fawning smile, "Master Yang, you're here?"

Yang Jin nodded, "How's the matter progressing?"

"Thanks to your help, Aunt Qiao was able to move out of the Liang Family. Everything is settled now; if you didn't help us find a skilled doctor, the third young master might not have survived. Aunt Qiao said she'd invite you for tea to thank you in person."
