Now beginning his Epic journey to be the best that ever was, Arthur Pendragon had to momentarily stop it to confirm what had just happened no sooner than he took one step out of town.
After gaping in disbelief for a good few seconds, and after some dirt flew into his mouth and made him choke and cough a lot like a fool, the new noble pointed to his new partner. "You can talk!?"
The newborn Spider Dragon nodded his head despite looking a bit baffled. "Yes, I can. You've been talking to me and my brothers for over 10, haven't you? Can I not do it?" He asked innocently.
"N-No! No! I mean, you can talk—it's just that I wasn't expecting you to talk in a language I can understand! So how are you doing that!?"
"Arty!" Leni went a hugged her brother, who groans in response. "You didn't tell us that you can talk to Mons."
"Yeah, we can talk, bro," The water dragon riding on his left shoulder said.
"Affirmative master." The fire spoke in a science-y tone. The dragon raised his left paw, and a small red glow was seen. "I hypothesize that we know by our genetics, but our in our species have this thing called Kei, and basically some of our evolutionary lines are so in tuned with this refined power, we can communicate and interact with other species."
The blonde siblings absorbed all that information like a sponge. "Soooo, it's like magic?" They both asked. Okay, sometimes they are a bit slow on big words.
Spider dragon thought about it for a bit. "Maybe. All it does allows us to talk to you, Master. I wish Kei would tell us where pizza is."
"Pizza?" The humans repeated with confusion. Then, they hear Mons talking for the first time, and one of the first things they explain is a greasy food product?
The four dragon brothers' eyes seemed to light up. "Yes! I have perpetually been fascinated with the food matter, Pizza! Particularly, when your mother unit gave us that heavenly meal!"
Oh, wait, Arthur did recall that his mother had prepared a late breakfast/lunch and had ordered some of his favourite pizza along with the feast yesterday after the eggs hatched.
"So you guys like pizza?" Calypso asked began before she noticed Spider looking at them with this trance-like look. Was he going to be okay?
"So cute!" The Haitian girl pets Spider on the head.
"Pizza… such an exotic word... Mmmmm! Pizza!" Okay, maybe Arthur had accidentally made his dragon addicted to Pizza... And perhaps they are turning into Homer Simpson as well. But, ehh, it shouldn't matter too much. According to the old man, they can eat human food.
"Well, okay." The noble scratched his head. Talking to Mons was actually pretty cool after his initial shock died. That and talking Mons was not the weirdest thing that can.
Those alien potatoes were going to take over the time that one time was weirder.
"You know, I just remembered, what moves do you know? What type are you guys anyway?"
As he said this, Arthur picked up his Legend InDex. The device scanned Spider and showed that the poison/wind type only knew four moves: Quick Attack, Air Slash, Poison Claw, and…
The blonde-haired boy raised his brow. "I've never heard of Vacuum Wave before..., and Leni let me go!"
Spider snapped out of his imaginary food bliss in response to the attack name and tensed into a fighting stance in the air. He raised one of his wings, and it started glowing. His sights locked to one tree in the distance, and then he suddenly flapped his wings in the air in a fast motion. The humans saw something move in the air before he heard a cracking noise coming from the tree. As he turned, the new noble noticed the tree had cut in half.
"Oh wow! The move shoots pressurized blades of air? And it's super fast too!" Arthur gushed at the super cool move his new friend could pull off—
"Who dares attack a member of the Dire Wolf Clan!?' A sharp, gruff voice pierced the air as out of the tree the Spider dragon attacked, an angry Dire wolf jumped out with a look of murder in its eyes.
A wolf-like Monsuta whose characteristics are the red blades that run down its back and the blue highlights on its shoulder and hip. It has red crystal-like claws, and its tail resembles that of an ankylosaurus. (Resembles a wolf, a wild cat, and an ankylosaurus)
Arthur, Calypso, Mora, and the still hugging Leni blinked as they realized they could hear a wolf Mon speaking like a human. "Wait, why can I hear him talk?" Mora asked.
The dragons pointed to Arthur. "You, your lovers, and your family can understand them. So wee activated his ability in your head. Master."
Arthur realized why his head felt a little funny when he first the dragons. Then, in surprise, the boy looked at Spider, who seemed to be the leader, and asked, "How did you guys do that?"
The Spider dragon seemed just as lost as his Master since he shrugged his shoulders. "Instinct told me to." Unfortunately for Arthur, he had no time to really question that.
For a few seconds, the group had forgotten they had pissed off a proud, self-proclaimed warrior. Then those eyes of murder turned to Artur and Spider dragon. "Know your error, outsiders! Feel the power of the wild."
Before Arthur could even apologize, the fighting type dash with impressive speeds right for the two, forcing Arthur, who had to carry his busty older sister princess style and his Spider dragon, to split up to avoid the hit.
The Dire Wolf turned around, getting ready to retaliate to those he thought were originally attacking him.
Arthur tried to say that it was just an honest mistake, but the Wolf was having none of it as it went for Spider a second time. This time, the poison/wind type wasn't fast enough to avoid the speed of the fighting type and was hit dead-on by the speed of the moving Monsuta knocked out of the sky.
"Leonardo!" Arthur panicked. He ran up to check on his friend.
"You dare attack my husband, Monster! You fiend!" Mora spoke in rage.
"Master, this guy is not listing; we're going to have to battle!' Leonardo- nicknamed Leo- then got back up and went forward away from his Master and mate? And entered into a fighting stance against the wild Mon.
The noble boy really wanted to have his first battle, and now he was having it. He just wished it wasn't in these conditions where he was accused of attacking someone blindly. "Alright!" Arthur stated as he looked at his opponent. He let down gently.
"Go get him, Arty!" The ditzy blonde fashion diva kissed him on the cheek.
Grabbing his device from his pocket and ignoring the blush to his cheeks. His experience back with dad and his adventures started to kick in as the dark-skinned, blue-eyed, blonde-haired noble focused squarely on the battle in front of them. "Leo, listen. Avoid every attack as much as possible and hit that dude with Air Slash!" The boy flowed Ki into the device, sending energy to his Mon.
Leo flaps his wings, releasing multiple light blue glowing saw disc-like energy blades from its wings at the Dire Wolf.
However, the fighting type seemed to move even faster and avoided all attempts to knock him down.
Arthur then recognized the increasing speed of the Wolf. That wild Mon was using Expedition to continually increase its speed!
This would have been a problem, but Arthur recalled that one of his new partner's moves would be really useful here. "Quick Attack and then use Poison Claw at its feet!" Arthur cried out, and Leo flew quickly to the opponent, leaving behind a trail of energy. Then, Leo claws glowing purple striking his legs.
"Now use Vaccum Wave!"
Leo launched three vacuum waves. The wolf beast could no longer avoid his opponent's hits, but at the same time, the attacks really didn't seem to slow down the fighting type. Instead, it just seemed to get angrier and more ferocious.
Suddenly, the Wolf quickly bounced off the trees before disappearing.
"OW!" Leo cried out as Dire Wolf suddenly rammed into his stomach and slashed the Poison/Wind type back into a tree. Pieces of wood fell on the Poison/Wind type when he bounced off the trunk.
"Bro!/Brother Unit/Leo" Arthur and Leonardo's brother cried out. Arthur recognized that move. One of the higher-level fighting types in HETS used it as a signature move: Waltz. This move allows a fighting type to move so fast that it's impossible to avoid and packs quite a punch too. However, he didn't know the wild Monsutas could learn such a powerful move.
The Dire Wolf increased his speed again, obviously priming to use the attack again. Leo seemed to be holding on, but that hit had brought the dragon to his brink because of how effective it was against him.
Arthur started to panic. What could he do? Leo was too imbalanced to launch an attack fast enough to stop the Wolf before the Poison/Wind type would be knocked out. The Wolf was moving too fast for him to land a hit.
The young man didn't want Leo or any of his new friends to get hurt! There had to be something—wait. There was something left Leo could do, but the problem was that it was a complex order. Arthur couldn't explain it fast enough for the Arachnid dragon to pull off!
However, to Arthur's surprise, Leo was already moving. He covered his wings with Poison and then prepared himself in another fighting stance.
The second before the Dire Wolf could shoot out, Leo shot another vacuum wave right in front of the path of the Wolf's attack. After the attack was launched, the Wolf was hit squarely in the face and crash down to the ground.
Dust flew from the impact, but Arthur didn't care as he ran up towards his buddy. "Leo! Dude, Are you alright?!"
As the dust settled, Leo was seen coughing and banged up a lot but still standing. A little ways from him was an obviously knocked out and paralyzed Dire Wolf.
"That was fun... but I don't wanna do that again," Leo spoke, then groaned as he put one of his paws near his ribs. "He was the most toughnaus opponent I ever faced."
The girls laughed when they heard that line.
"Arty, did you dragon just quote Bill&Ted?" Calypso holding back a peal of laughter at her hubby's favorite movie.
The blonde-haired man didn't want to answer his tormentor's answers. He was baffled at the move Leo did to knock out the Wolf, not because it was elaborate. Still, it was the same idea in his mind that he was unable to explain to Leo on time! "Leo, dude, how did you know what to do when that wolf was about to use his Waltz move a second time?"
"You told me, Master." The Spider dragon gasped, which made the confused noble put his hand to the ribs and glowed green.
"I told you?" Ash started healing Leo. "How? That order I was thinking was too complex and long to explain in time."
"I… felt it from you." Leo began as he eased up a little more. "I also heard it from you? I guess?"
Arthur tilted his head. "Is this more of that magic 'Kei' thing?"
Leo shrugged. "Maybe you connected our minds together?"
Arthur gave a confused glance thought back to that moment. He was so afraid for his buddy and wanted to do almost anything to get him out of that situation. Did magic Kei connect them?
…
How was he going to explain all this to Dad? or even worse, Mom!
She said no more brain powers!
"Congratulations, Arty!" The girls rushed to the eighteen years old noble with kisses and praises.
Leo and his brothers watch as their Master tries to fight off the affections of his harem.
"Ulsk…" Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Donatello looked down at the Dire Wolf that seemed to be gaining consciousness again.
The blonde-haired noble, with practiced ease, fished his bag pack with three girls who were still kissing him. He took out an empty Mounsuo Capsule and readied it at the Wolf. "Congrats, Leo, we won our first Mon battle with a wild Mon! We can catch this guy and add him to the team! Welcome new friend... Also, girl get-"
He was cut off when Calypso kissed the lips.
"Hi, new friend!" Micky greeted the Wolf with a smile. The water dragon seems to be a very happy reptile.
"Whatever," Raph said with monotone. The earth dragon doesn't speak much.
"Pleas…"
Everyone turned to the Wolf, who seemed to be struggling hard to talk. So hard, in fact, it looked like he was… crying?
"Please… don't capture me… I… I can't leave now. I… mustn't… my… people… my need…." The Wolf gasped in pain as it tried to move. Still, it's weakened, and paralysis stated made even the smallest of movements very painful.
Arthur immediately went to heal the Mon. After a few minutes. Almost instantly, the Wolf could now move and had his energy returned.
The wild fighting type looked at himself in disbelief and then looked up to Arthur Pendragon. "You healed me?" His voice was cautious, but he seemed far more relaxed now.
The young man rubbed the back of his head and smiled sheepishly. "Yeah, well, we're sorry for disturbing you in the first place. It was more or less an accident."
The Wolf stared at Arthur in an unreadable manner. "Peculiar, I just recognized I can conjecture you flesh-bags. I find it much better than the usual gibberish that comes out of your mouth holes." It seemed like the fighting type was not surprised at the thought of a human speaking to him fluently. "Perhaps..." He began before, to the surprise of everyone, the proud warrior seemed to bow his head.
"Meat-Bag! Spider Warrior! Meat-Bag Harem! Please, allow me to beg for your assistance!'
Meat-Bag and Spider Warrior turned to each other with apparent bafflement on the names. The girls blushed at the word harem, much to Arthur's chagrin. Arthur palmed himself in the face.
"First of all, my name is Arthur, and this is Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Donatello " The dragon nodded at their Master's real introduction. "Second, this is not my harem. This is Calypso, the Princess of Haiti, Bounty hunter and pirate Queen." He pointed to Calypso.
Calypso Jacques Dessalines. B89-W54-H78. (5'11") She is very tall (for her age) and slender with long wavy black hair that extends past her waist with pink highlights and fair light brown skin tone. She wore a purple dress with her Jolly Roger designs on it and purple high-heel pumps.
"Mora, the Invincible girl of Athens" B88-W60-H86 Mora. (6,0) She is a sweet good girl who is great at fighting. Mora wore her red hair in a waist-length ponytail, curled slightly into a loose ringlet. She also wore light-green eyeshadow around the far upper corners of her green eyes. She was tall and quite muscular compared to most her age. She looks like a sexy Amazon goddess.
"And my older sister Leni, the Summoner of Camelot." 91D-59-88. (5,3) Leni has shoulder-length golden blond hair styled into dreadlocks with blue eyes and sunglasses on the top of her head. She is buxom and has a curvaceous body possessing large bouncy breasts, thick thighs, and fat, round buttocks. Leni is wearing a summoner robe that hugs her body and always tends to wear very short mini-skirts that show off a large portion of her upper legs, to which Arthur swears that exists made him stare more than should at her legs. Being part light elf. Leni has slim long elf ears.
The girls bowed at the Wolf.
Arthur ignored the downright hurtful 'I don't believe you' looks from the damn Mons!
"Thirdly, what help are you looking for?"
The Wolf got back up, looking determined now more than ever. "Our leader is fallen ill and grows worse by the days! Your human magic has healed me, so can they do the same to him!?'
Arthur thought back. He had just the healing ki twice already. He wasn't sure he could do it again for today.
He did have some homemade remedies that helped with status ailments, but…
"I'd have to check. Can you bring us to him?" Arthur was not going to let a cry for help go unheard while he was there.
How do you think that over 120 girls agree to share him.
Sure he didn't give consent or anything. And maybe he'd really didn't fight it that but still!!
The Dire Wolf nodded thankfully and spoke. "Follow me!"
The fighting type led the group towards a thick forest area. That may or not had been built by Arthur's slimes. However, the Wolf didn't stop there. Instead, he led them deeper into the forest until they reached a vast old tree next to a cave. The tree had giant roots that spread across a large area and had holes across its trunk that seemed to range from big to small, new to ancient, functional to useless. It was filled with large packs of Dire Wolves, all focusing their glares at both Arthur and his dragons.
The girls got smiles.
Well, isn't that sexist!
The same Dire Wolf that was leading the group went to the cave and shouted. "I have returned! And this Meat Bag that stands before you has a chance to heal our Chieftain!" The proud Wolf pointed his claws towards Arthur as this was declared.
"Again with meat bag?" Arthur sweatdropped.
Calypso and the others giggled.
"Don't laugh!" Arthur gives a glare.
And now they're laughing at his glare.
"If they start trouble, we'll show them not to mess with us." The Earth Dragon offered while standing closer to his trainer.
The girls hugged Arthur and then slightly panicked when a large group of Dire Wolves started coming out in droves. However, they soon realized that the pack wasn't moving towards them but towards the cave's back connected to a giant tree. Many of the Dire Wolves seemed to hook their claws on small grooves across a certain area, and then they all started to pull with their canines. The group stared as it looked like the group of wolves was opening a large door that was in front of the cave.
The original Dire Wolf that fought them turned to the outsiders and pointed a paw towards the inside. "They have allowed us passage. Now make haste!' He said as he dashed inside.
The humans shared a look before they decided to walk after the Dire Wolf. As they entered, the humans were surprised at how much bigger the tree-cave thing seemed. As they kept walking, they reached the center of the tree cave thing, and boy was it a sight to behold!
The tree cave was, for some reason, hollow in the center and seemed to go up for like a mile or so. Around the walls were something like indentations that looked like a complete spiral slope/stairs that led to the very top of the tree.
The original Wolf motioned a nod above, which meant that they would have to start their climb. So the two continued their ascent up to the top of the tree, and as they kept climbing, they noticed that more and more of the Dire Wolves… looked kinder, smaller… and there were more nests filled with eggs and meat.
"Whoa," Arthur said as he looked at one den that held like a dozen Dire Wolf Eggs that was being guarded by two tough-looking mom and dad. or dad and dad. Arthur doesn't judge homosexual relationships. He may not fully understand it but live and let live.
"This place is like its own society. The old man coworkers and Cecilia would have loved to see this!"
Very soon, Arthur and the others finally reached the top of the tree cave. If everything surprised them before, the knowledge that the top of the strange place looked like some giant stadium with a specialized spot at the very top with big claw marks.
There it was a Wolf that stood out among all the others. It was far more massive than even the bigger Dire wolves here. If Arthur recalled, it was a Dire Neo-Wolf, the second evolved version of the Dire Wolf here. It had a ubiquity that could essentially crush anyone it would just look at.
Then the original Dire Wolf bowed, prompting the newcomers to do the same—especially if one wrong move could lead them trapped among countless fighting types.
That would suck.
However, the humans and dragons heard the Neo l-Wolf roared a mighty roar that silenced and shooked the top and the rest of the tree cave.
"Pup!" What is the meaning of bringing outsiders to our lands!?' The Neo-Wolf barked with a voice of sheer command and power.
"Chieftain!" The one who brought the group exclaimed back and raised his head. "These outsiders, they have the ability to heal! I have brought them in order to help your condition!"
Arthur waved at the chieftain. So that thing was the chieftain that Wolf they fought and said chieftain was growing weaker by the day?! He sure as heck did not give off that impression!
The chieftain growled then descended down in front of the humans. But, to his surprise and every Wolf here, the humans didn't flinch as the big Wolf glared at them and a member of his clan.
"Healer!?" The Wolf barked like a hellhound from the fiery gates of hell. "Do I—the Great Dire Neo-Wolf—seem weak to you?!"
Leo and Arthur just stare as the two wolves glared at each other, neither showing a sign of moving.
However…
"Cough! Cough!"
The chieftain was first to break the staredown as he looked away, coughing in a not healthy sound.
"Da, Chieftan," The original Wolf said as the Wolf continued to cough. "You need a healer! You need help!"
The leader seemed to tense at the last word the smaller one said. "Help!? If anyone, especially those gutless annoying Cats, hears of us being weak, they will definitely attack our home! I do not need it!"
However, to the surprise of Arthur, it seemed like it was the dire Wolf that brought them who was crying. "You grow worse by the day, father! At the rate we are going, you will be lost for sure, and there will be no one to protect our clan!"
Another unexpected surprise popped out. Arthur had met the child of the Chieftain himself!? Wait, was that why he was begging not to be caught? He was worried for his people?
"You," The Neo-Wold began before he started coughing violently once more. After that fit, he turned back to the serious yet the teary-eyed face of his offspring. "… Humans, are you truly a healer?"
Arthur started to feel tense as all focus suddenly shifted to him. "I-I took lessons in first aid and Mon first aid." He blurted out. Oh, thank whatever beings up there that his time in his dad's lab was nothing like how he would sleep in a regular school.
What? School was boring a heck!
"Then make your move. I am too weak to care." The chieftain said as he relaxed—slumped even. All image of fear was now gone from the boy. Instead, his dragons started to rise as he saw the strong and proud Mom seem weak, just like when they first beat his child… err, not really a good string of words to blurt out without context.
Arthur felt a hand on the head of evolved Mon and instantly began to cast a cooling technique. "Whoa! You're almost hot to the touch! You have a fever that deep, and you've been trying to shrug it off!?" It spoke volumes at how strong this Wolf really was… and how stubborn he was to fight it like that.
More like the second one.
The young man begins to work and get remedies to help with high fevers. First, he made sure the chieftain actually rested and was made sure to stay warm, not too cold or too hot. Now time to start mending his body temperature along with a boost to his immune system.
Even the girls helped with making some medicine with the Elfwood Berries and some meat with high iron.
In about two hours, the Dire Neo-Wolf seemed to be better off finally.
When there was a break allowed, Arthur called for others and the offspring of the Chieftain to meet privately.
"I praise your efforts, healer! I must thank you! My father looks better than he did in the days before!" The Wolf gladly smiled.
Smiling at the Wolf, even the manners his father forced him to learn. "No problem. I'm happy to help everyone and anyone. Now your father should get some rest for the next few days. But he will be useless for the time frame."
"What!" The Wolf panicked. Worried about the attack that might happen if the cats learn of chieftains' health.
"Is there anything else more you can do?' The Wolf asked Arthur.
Arthur seemed to think before he seemed to realize something. "Maybe?"
'What is it?!' The child practically jumped on it after hearing another option.
The young noble showed his InDex and made it open up a picture of a Mother Bear. "These Mons are your best bet at healing your dad even better than me. They're known to be natural healers and can help ease Mon and man's most serious sicknesses. It's why they're almost always with any hospitals or Hello Nurse in my society."
"Then we shall find one!"
It seemed like Arthur was expecting a different answer to that as he then said, "You guys can find one?"
"Da! WE can!' the Wolf seemed strong-minded about time, but who could blame him? His father's life and the safety of his people were at stake.
Just like that, everyone worked together and searched for the bear.
"Wow. These dogs really know how to throw a party." The blonde-haired teen said in utter disbelief as all around him the Dire wolves were either jumping around erratically, making their interpretation of dancing on the stadium floor (Arthur swears they are doing the cupid shuffle), or drinking what seemed like stolen alcohol.
Do dogs even drink?
"I know," Calypso agreed as the party was some ways in the corner. "I didn't even know Mons could party at all?"
"They have great taste in music!" Leni cooed at the puppies dancing in front of her.
Mora just writes in her journal about today. "I didn't know they like alcohol so much... or even drink it all."
The boy just shrugged his shoulders.
"Hear! Hear!" The Dire Neo-Wolf's voice boomed, which instantly stopped the festivities. Everyone turned towards the Chieftain as he cleared his throat.
"I would like to begin by saying it is odd. This is the first time in years where I have felt relaxed… even hopeful. Tonight, we have the power to kill the cat clan!' In response to the Chieftain's exclamation, there was resounding applause—or barks of agreement in the case of the fighting types. "However, we must thank someones for bringing me back to health… is none other than my child!'
Again, another resounding barks and howls for the that fought against Arthur and Leo.
"And let us not forget, the healer and his harem that have helped in saving my life!"
Arthur didn't know how to react to the cries of joy... or the fact that they kept saying that he had a harem.
"As such, let us thank our heroes! The food is ready, and they shall be the first to eat!"
Now that he mentioned it, Arthur hadn't eaten since lunch, and it was already getting late at night. The sound of food greatly appealed to him.
Soon the wolves came in with baskets that seemed to carry food.
How much do Monsuta's steal from humans? Arthur wonders.
The chieftain continued to talk before they were served, "I cannot even begin to thank you all for your contribution to we who do not even know you. You shall forever have our gratitude."
"It's only natural for us to help those in need." Arthur returned before the basket was placed in front of him. "Thank you for the food, though—huh?"
Inside the basket was… a sheep? But, of course, now that Arthur had a better look, it wasn't just a sheep; it was also a Ram as well. But unfortunately, he had trouble identifying it since they were both killed and had their bodies and guts mixed up like rotten mashed potatoes.
… Well, that was disturbing imagery he didn't expect to see.
Again...
The girls just got barries and fruits in their baskets.
"It is the very least we could do for you!' The chieftain said with animated vigour. "We have also prepared our finest meals, the guts of weak! For the female's fruits!
Oh no, so much for praying and hoping that this was all some kind of mistake.
Also, why him!
Dig deep, Arthur. Remember, it's rude not to eat food given to you by your host.
…
Arthur digs deep and reaches his hand out. "Well, maybe it tastes good?" he said as he scooped a hand full of light-type guts and ate it.
No, it did not taste good at all.
It was a beautiful morning! The Sun was shining! The wind breeze was pleasant! Airbaldes were singing!
Arthur was slugging around like zombies and groaning like he were about to die!
"Uhhhhh, I feel sick…." Arthur said early in the morning as he struggled to walk in a straight line out of the forest.
The girls laughed at their poor lovers' misery.
"You ok there, healer?"
The sound of the familiar voice made the group look behind to see the chieftain and his child look at them.
"Oh. What are you two doing here?" Arthur made no effort to stand up straight.
"I came to say one last goodbye and thank you for all that you've done."
Then why was his child here?
"Also, my child, who is a mighty warrior, has something to say."
The dire Wolf cleared his throat when the leader referenced them. "Arthur and Leonardo, I wish to properly join your ranks! Our battle has taught me more than I ever could imagine. And if I were to one day become Chieftain, I would prefer to learn more about the world beyond my home in the Cavein Tree. Would you let me come with you in this human journey of yours?"
So that was that thing called.
Arthur was smiling wide. "Sure thing, um, Wolf! Welcome to the team!"
The girls laughed at the nickname.
The dire Wolf looked absolutely thrilled to be accepted, but then he turned towards his father, and his father turned to him.
The smaller Wolf nuzzled deep embrace of his father, and it was quite the sight to see Dire Neo-Wolves, known for their aggressive power and hostile behaviour, show unconditional love and tenderness to their child.
And then, he said, "Goodbye, my daughter, my true pride."
Arthur felt tears coming near his eyes. "Oh, this is so wait, huh?! SHE IS A GIRL!?" He shouted as the daughter's word popped up.
"Why yes? I am female?" The Dire Wolf, who was apparently a girl the entire time, turned to him confused after breaking the hug with her father.
It was now Leo's turn to shout in disbelief. " Say Wha!? But your voice is like so deep!"
The father boomed with powerful laughter. "And she should be proud! The more powerful the voice, the stronger the warrior!"
"That is not how it works…." Arthur meekly tried to argue. Maybe?
While Arthur and Leo were confused, the father said lost words to everyone.
"Farewell! And may you become stronger each passing day!" He cried out before he went out of sight."
Wolf walked towards Arthur and Leo and his brothers with a rather stern look. "Now hear me, my lord and Leo! You are in the presence of the Great Chieftain's only child! I will not stand for anything less than the presence of a commanding warrior to stand by! As such, it is time that I put you all in your place!"
"What!? But you said you wanted to join us! Not the other way around—"
Wolf used (very scary) Stare Down! Opponent Arthur and Leo were horrified! Arthur started to run while Leo was flying away.
"Yes! Yes! Build your muscles! It builds character! Wolf cried out as the two continued to run in fear of their new teammate.
The girls and Leo's brother followed them.
"Master is our entire journey going to be like this the whole time!?" Leo asked, wondering if he should go back into the egg.
The blonde-haired boy looked back, only to see that intimidating Stare Down once more that chilled his blood and then quickly turned around ahead and started running faster. "I hope not!"
Unfortunately for Arthur… that was not his decision to make.
