Great start to this type of a genres. You get straight to the thick of things after the prologue. I like the fights and the characters that where introduced. Grammar is well done exempt for the bulky paragraphs but they do nothing to take away from the story. Since you know what you getting into with this genre, which has an awakening, not want to spoil too much... but it makes for a pretty easy read. There is quite a bit of world building in the first few chapters as well. Great work and keep it up.

There were a couple of issues I had with the writing. Firstly, the exposition dump at the start could have been revealed in a more engaging manner for the reader. Second, there are a lot of chunky paragraphs, and I think they could be split up to improve the story. The story feels like your generic low fantasy, with an awakening, gates etc. Therefore, the reader knows what they're getting into, and it's pretty easy to read in that regard. Character descriptions were pretty good, and there's quite a fair amount of world building early.

Shameless self-review LOL Even though this is my first novel, I have high confidence in the writing quality. You can be assured that there won't be many grammar or spelling mistakes, resulting in a read that's easy on the eyes. BUT, since it is my first novel, there may sometimes be plot issues or similar. I will do my best to write a realistic fantasy novel without plot holes so I hope you will follow me on this journey! Give it a read. It will be worth it in the end.
