Don't be sad

"So does that mean that I cannot see him mommy??" asked Joy innocently as she could not understand.

Tears filled Natasha's eyes, her baby was just so innocent, and yes, it was true, she was never going to get to see him, even though she had promised the both of them that they would meet, it just made her so sad.

"Yes my baby, you can't see him" said Natasha as she smiled sadly and she quickly wiped away her tears as she sniffed.

"Is that why you are sad mommy?" asked Joy.

"Yes my baby, I am sad because I will never see him again" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Don't be sad mommy" said Joy as she smiled and she wiped away her mother's tears.

"Because he is in heaven now, and Miss. B says that heaven is the best place ever" said Joy as she giggled.

"Oh my baby" said Natasha as she laughed, and Dom smiled.

"You always know just what to say" said Natasha as she smiled and Joy giggled.

"And you are right my baby, he is in a better place" said Natasha as she smiled and she sniffed.

"Mommy, how old was your daddy?" asked Joy.

"Well my baby he was 56" said Natasha as she smiled, she had a little curious child with her, and she just had to pinch her nose.

"Mommy that is very old" said Joy as she giggled.

"Well not too old my baby" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Mommy, can I see a picture of your daddy?" asked Joy.

"Ahh well my baby, I don't have any with me now, they are all back at our family house, but once I go there I will show you alright my baby?" asked Natasha as she smiled.

"Okay mommy" said Joy as she smiled.

"Good girl" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Now go along with your father my baby, you don't want to be late for school now" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Okay Mommy" said Joy as she smiled.

"Good girl" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Don't be sad anymore mommy" said Joy as she smiled and she gave her mother a kiss on the cheek.

"Don't worry my baby, I won't" said Natasha as she smiled, she felt so much better with her baby here to comfort her, she was trying her best to understand, even though she was too young too.

"Bye Bye Mommy" said Joy as she smiled and Natasha put her down.

"Bye my baby, and don't forget your schoolbag" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Okay Mommy I won't" said Joy as she smiled and she walked over to her father as she held his hand.

"Let's go my princess" said Dom as he smiled.

"Okay daddy" said Joy as she smiled and she followed after her father as he closed the door to Natasha's room and they walked downstairs.

"Your schoolbag Joy" said Alfred as he smiled and he gave Joy her schoolbag.

"Thank you Alfred" said Joy as she smiled and Dom wore her schoolbag for her.

"You are welcome Joy" said Alfred as he smiled.

"Bye Alfred" said Joy as she smiled and she waved at him.

"Goodbye Joy" said Alfred as he smiled and Dom smiled as he carried Joy and they walked out the front door.

Alfred smiled as he walked up the stairs and he turned to the left as he walked further into the hall and he knocked on the door.

"Come in" came Natasha's voice from the inside.

"Good Morning Madam" said Alfred as he smiled and he walked into Natasha's room.

"Good Morning Alfred" said Natasha as she smiled and she looked at Alfred.

"Please accept my condolences, I heard what happened" said Alfred as he smiled sadly.

"Oh Thank you Alfred" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Larry, your father… he was such a good man" said Alfred as he smiled sadly.

"I am the same age as him, and he always treated me like a trusted friend" said Alfred.

"I know he liked you a lot as well Alfred" said Natasha as she smiled and Alfred smiled at her.

"How are you?" asked Alfred.

"*Sigh*, I could be better Alfred" said Natasha as she sighed.

"I understand Madam, just remember that if you ever need anything at all, I am always here" said Alfred as he smiled.

"Thank you Alfred, I really appreciate that" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Madam, would you like me to bring you breakfast?" asked Alfred as he smiled.

"Ahh… no, I don't really feel hungry, I am fine… thank you Alfred" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Alright Madam" said Alfred as he smiled.

"I will leave you to rest now" said Alfred as he smiled.

"Thank you Alfred" said Natasha as she smiled and Alfred smiled once more as he walked out of the door.

"Please cancel all my meetings and appointment this morning" said Dom as he put his phone on speaker and he was driving back home after he dropped off Joy at school.

"Alright Sir" said the Secretary.

"Are you not coming to the office today?" asked the Secretary.

"I don't think that I might, my wife's father just passed yesterday" said Dom as he turned to the left corner.

"Oh my… please accept my condolences" said the Secretary as she was so surprised, she was sure that Mrs. White was very devastated, she had met her many times and she seemed to be a very nice woman.

"Thank you" said Dom.

"I am not sure if I will come to the office today, but I will call you if I change my mind" said Dom as he sighed.

"Okay Sir, noted, please take care" said the Secretary.

"I will thank you" said Dom as he smiled and the secretary ended the call.

"Come in" said Natasha as she groaned in pain, she had a horrible headache, maybe it was from all her crying.

"How are you doing?" asked Dom as he walked into Natasha's room.

"I am alright" said Natasha as she placed down the teacup on saucer on her beside table, Alfred had brought her some tea earlier, even though she insisted that she was alright and not hungry, but he insisted that she at least take some tea, and well she knew that he was only doing that because he worried about her.

"You don't look so good" said Dom as he saw Natasha scrunched her face in pain.

"I only have a minor headache" said Natasha as she touched her head.

"But I am alright, I have already taken some paracetamol" said Natasha.

"Alfred told me that you haven't eaten" said Dom as he looked at Natasha.

"I don't feel hungry" replied Natasha.

"Are you sure you are alright?" asked Dom.

"Yes, I am" said Natasha.

"*Sigh*, so what do you want? Why are you here?" asked Natasha as she sighed and she turned to look at Dom, wasn't he supposed to be at work? Then why was he back here?? Did he forget something?

"I am here to talk to you, but since you say you have a headache I can come back later" said Dom.

"No, there is no point in that, just go on with what you wanted to say" said Natasha.

"Alright then" said Dom as he could sense that she did not want him here.

"I do not mean to sound insensitive" said Dom.

"But what are your plans for the funeral?" asked Dom.

"I received a call from the morgue this morning, and well they were asking about your plans" said Dom as he sighed, he did not want to sound insensitive, he knew that she was hurt, but she also wanted nothing to do with him, but regardless of that, he would still help her.

"*Sigh*" said Natasha as she sighed, she knew that Dom was right, all she did was lock herself in her room and just cry.

"There is only one place he would want to be buried" said Natasha as she looked at Dom.

"Should I make an appointment at the cemetery?" asked Dom as he knew where she was referring to.

"Yes… if you want to then you can" said Natasha, she did not know what to do, she had never planned a funeral before.

"Alright then, I will call them today" said Dom.

"And when do you want to hold his funeral?" asked Dom as it was better to get all this out of the way so she could recover properly.

"On Saturday, he always said that when he died he would want to be buried soon, so no one could do tests on his corpse" said Natasha as she laughed as she remembered what her father always said, and well Dom sighed, the only bad thing here was that he was gone, he was truly gone.

"Okay, and the guests?" asked Dom.

"Nothing too big, he always hated big gatherings, just close friends and family" said Natasha.

"And his casket?" asked Dom and Natasha turned to open the drawer on her bedside table and she gave Dom a magazine as he looked at it.

"That one" said Natasha as Dom looked down at the wooden white casket.

"Alright then" said Dom.

"We will make sure to give him a proper goodbye" said Dom as he smiled sadly and tears dropped from Natasha's eyes once again.

"Well if that is all, please leave now, I would like to be alone" said Natasha as she sniffed.

"Alright then, rest well" said Dom as he turned around to walk away and he closed the door behind him, Natasha still was not alright, and he could see it in her eyes, but he would not bother her any longer, she needed to rest.
