The little bell of the coffee shop rang as Natasha walked into the coffee shop; she subtly scanned the little coffee shop as she did not find who she was looking for.
Natasha walked to one of the empty tables of the coffee shop as she sat down, and she looked at her phone, the time was 2:50pm, she had come early since she did not want to get stuck in traffic, and well, it would seem that the person she was waiting for had yet to show up.
Natasha looked around the coffee shop, it was warm, and it had a cosy feeling to it, the smell of freshly brewed coffee lingered in the air, and there was some light chatter between customers.
Natasha saw that the coffee shop was not too full, neither was it too empty, it was just calm.
Natasha looked back down at her phone, when she suddenly felt a presence standing right next to her as she looked up.
"Dobryy den' (Good Afternoon)" came the voice of a brown haired woman who looked no older than nineteen years old.
"Dobryy den' (Good Afternoon)" replied Natasha as she smiled.
"Chto ya mogu poluchit' diya vas? (What can I get for you?)" asked the woman.
"My delayem ochen' khoroshiy kofe (We make very good coffee)" said the woman as she smiled and Natasha smiled at her, the woman had not seen Natasha here before, she knew almost all their regular customers, and she knew that Natasha was new here.
"Ya ne p'yu kofe (I don't drink coffee)" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Net problem, u nas yest' mnogo drugikh variantov (No problem, we have many other options)" said the woman as she smiled.
"U tebya yest' chay? (Do you have tea?)" asked Natasha as she smiled.
"Da, u nas yest' chay, kakoy predpochitayete? (Yes we have tea, which kind do you prefer?)" asked the woman as she smiled.
"Ah... Zelenyy chay eto khorosho (Green tea is fine)" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Khorosho, togda ya skoro vernus' (Okay then, I will be right back)" said the woman as she smiled.
"Spasibo (Thank you)" said Natasha as she smiled and the woman walked away with a smile.
A few minutes later, the woman walked back with Natasha's green tea with a smile, the lady had to say that Natasha was a peculiar customer, people rarely ordered tea, it was coffee round the clock, in order for them to keep warm.
"Tvoy chay (Your tea)" said the woman with a smile as she placed the teacup and saucer on the table.
"Spasibo (Thank you)" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Pozhaluysta (You are welcome)" said the woman as she walked away and Natasha took a sip of her tea.
Natasha looked at her phone once again, it was five minutes past 3pm, and Romanoff was late, it would seem that he would not be coming, but Natasha was prepared to wait for as long as it took, if he was not here by 4pm, she would leave, and then she would scold herself for being so naïve as to think that Romanoff would actually show up.
Natasha sighed as she really wished that Romanoff would actually show up, she could not come all the way here, just for him not to show up, that would not be fair at all, all she wanted were answers, was that too much to ask?
Natasha just sat there, looking out the window nearby, as she saw many people walking by, all going their ways, as she was stuck here, waiting for someone that she did not know would even show up.
Natasha looked down at her phone again, it was now 20 minutes past three, and she was getting fed up, this was more than being late, it was more like she had been stood up.
Natasha suddenly looked up when she heard the door of the coffee shop open as the bell rang, and she the little hope she had was blown away when she did not see Romanoff, but rather a young looking man, who waved to two ladies sitting in the corner as he made his way towards the women.
Natasha sighed as she looked back down at her tea as she was just going to finish it and be on her way, she could not make a fool of herself, sitting here, and waiting for that untrustworthy man.
"Sorry for keeping you waiting" came a deep voice from behind Natasha that she did not know well at all, but she knew who it belonged to.
Natasha flinched in shock as she was taken off guard and she slowly turned to make sure that she had not started hearing things, but to her surprise, there he was… the person she was waiting for… Romanoff, just where did he come from???
Natasha was surprised, as far as she knew, she could only see one entrance and exit in this coffee shop, so where could Romanoff have possibly come from?? Natasha put her thoughts behind her as she was relieved that he was finally here, she was already disappointed by the thought that he would not show up.
"You set the time, and you didn't keep to it" said Natasha as she narrowed her eyes at him, they were in a public place, so he could not possibly do anything to harm her here.
Romanoff smiled, the kind of smile that Natasha did not find funny at all, he knew she would come, after all she was truly the daughter of her mother, who never backed down.
"I apologize, I was held up with work" said Romanoff as Natasha scoffed at him, of course he had so called work to do.
"I doubt that" said Natasha.
"Hmm, I don't think that you came here to doubt if I work or not" said Romanoff as he smiled.
"I sure did not" said Natasha.
"Exactly what I thought" said Romanoff as he smiled.
"Get me a black coffee, no milk, no sugar" said Romanoff as he turned to look at the woman as she smiled and she nodded her head as Natasha looked at her.
"Prikhodit (Come)" said Romanoff as he turned to look at Natasha and she narrowed her eyes at him, come to where?? She did not trust him, but she also did not think that Romanoff would possibly try anything here.
Natasha stood up as she followed behind Romanoff who walked into another direction, far from where the people were, and he entered through a door as he walked down a pair of stairs.
Natasha stopped walking as she looked down the stairs, they were getting too far away from other people.
Romanoff noticed that Natasha had stopped following him, so he turned around to look at her.
"Are you not coming?" asked Romanoff as Natasha looked at him, she did not want him to know that she was not confident about this whole thing at all, but she had come too far only to back down now.
Natasha did not reply to him as she walked down the stairs and Romanoff smiled as he continued walking and he turned to the right as he opened the door and he walked into a little room with a couch as he sat down calmly and Natasha looked at him.
"Won't you have a seat?" asked Romanoff as he smiled.
"No" replied Natasha as in that same moment, the woman from upstairs came with a white mug in her hand as she handed it to Romanoff.
"Spasibo (Thank you)" said Romanoff as he gave a quick smile and the woman smiled at him as she looked at Natasha and she walked away.
"You don't want anything?" asked Romanoff.
"I had tea" replied Natasha simply as Romanoff being so calm was not making her feel more at ease at all.
"Tea?" asked Romanoff as he took a sip of his coffee.
"It's healthier than coffee" said Natasha.
"Hmm, I see" said Romanoff.
"I don't think that you are here to only ask if I had something or not?" asked Natasha coldly.
"Alright, so what do you want?" asked Romanoff seriously.
"Didn't you tell me to meet you here? I'm here aren't I?, so answer my questions" said Natasha as she watched Romanoff.
"You really are serious" said Romanoff as he laughed and in the same moment he felt a gun pointed to his head as Natasha did not hold the trigger.
"I don't see what is so funny" said Natasha with all seriousness, he was obviously not taking her seriously at all, and it annoyed her.
"Be careful devochka (girl), you might not know how to use that thing" said Romanoff as he remained indifferent and he took a sip of his coffee.
"Oh I know how to use it, and I will" said Natasha.
"You don't trust me do you?" asked Romanoff.
"I don't, you told me not to yourself" said Natasha.
"Smart" said Romanoff as he laughed.
"Enough games Romanoff, if you are of no use to me, I will just get rid of you" said Natasha as she was trying to threaten him, maybe then he would take her seriously.
"You don't have the guts devochka (girl), if you really wanted to shoot, then you would have, you hand is not even on the trigger" said Romanoff.
"Never hesitate" said Romanoff as he smiled and in one swift motion he used his left hand to swipe Natasha's gun from her hand as she was left in surprise, at his swiftness, she was starting to get scared of him now.
"You didn't even load the gun, try better again next time devochka (girl)" said Romanoff as he laughed and he threw Natasha's gun back at her, she did not even load it, beginner mistake.
"Nice gun" he said as Natasha scoffed and she caught her gun.
"What do you want devochka (girl)?" asked Romanoff.
"I want you to answer all my questions, in truth" said Natasha as she looked at Romanoff.
"Fine, what do you want to know?" asked Romanoff, he knew that she would never back down.
"Everything, the truth" said Natasha.
"Oh devockha (girl), there are many truths" said Romanoff.
"That may be so, but only one is valid" said Natasha.
"True, true" said Romanoff.
"I want to know why you killed my mother… the real reason you killed her" said Natasha.
"Believe me when I tell you that… I never wanted to do it" said Romanoff.
"But you did, and well here we are, I want the truth, and don't you dare say it had to be done, you had a choice, you could not refused to" said Natasha as Romanoff laughed.
"There is no choice, it is either kill or be killed" said Romanoff coldly.
"Then tell me why" said Natasha.
"Fine, I will" said Romanoff as he sighed.
"I'm waiting" said Natasha as she was ready to listen to him.
