The opening

Natasha groaned in her bed. She yawned and woke up, the rising sun's rays peeking out her open windows.

She was so exhausted from going to sleep really later yesterday that she did not feel like getting out the bed, then she remembered that today out of all the days was not a good one for her to decide to be lazy. She had to be by the office before 8am.

Natasha rubbed her eyes and got out of bed, she yawned once more and went to the bathroom to get ready.

She brushed her teeth, took a shower and brushed her hair. She walked to her closet standing there confused. Today was a very special day and she did not know what to wear.

Well whatever it was, it had to be professional because she was sure that photos would be taken at the opening of the store.

She ended up settling on a yellow top with a black pencil skirt. She proceeded to style her hair but she could not decide on a style which made her leave her hair down. It made her feel somewhat odd, she rarely left her hair down.

She shrugged off her feelings of oddness and grabbed her handbag leaving her room.

Before she descended down the stairs she entered Joy's room to check on her, surprisingly Joy was still fast asleep.

Natasha smiled seeing her darling still sleeping. She didn't blame her considering it was 6am and Joy didn't need to be in school till 8.

"Good morning my darling, I will see you later, have a wonderful day at school." she said hugging Joy and giving her a kiss on the forehead before leaving.

Natasha closed the door softly behind her, she walked down the stairs to the kitchen. It seemed that she was the only one awake at this time, which was no surprise at all.

Natasha made herself a quick sandwich and drank some grape juice. She did not want to be hungry the whole day, she knew that it would be a while before she would be free enough to get something to eat.

Natasha cleaned up after herself, walked out the kitchen, grabbed her car keys off the table and took her leave.

...

"Chloe, I'm at the office where are you?" asked Natasha as she walked from her office.

"Oh I'm already at the store, I just got here." replied Chloe.

"Did you remember to bring the documents I asked for?" asked Natasha.

"Yes I did, they are here with me." replied Chloe as she closed her car door.

"That's good."

"Natasha, you need to get here quickly, I think we have a problem..." said Chloe, her voice sounding rather worried.

"Why? What's wrong?" asked Natasha.

"How many newspaper outlets did we pay to cover this event?" asked Chloe.

"Five, what's the matter?" asked Natasha hearing how somewhat scared Chloe sounded.

"Then how come there are almost fifteen news outlets here, and that includes two news channels as well." said Chloe.

"What?!" asked Natasha shocked, what was going on over there.

"Yes, there are like fifteen over here, people we didn't pay, and there's even cameras and they are setting up sound and everything." Chloe said worriedly.

"You have to get over here as fast as you can Natasha." said Chloe.

"Don't worry I'm on my way, In the meantime don't talk to any one of them till I get there and find out what the heck is going on." said Natasha as she rushed to her car.

"Okay." said Chloe as she nodded.

"I'll see you really soon, hang tight." said Natasha as Chloe nodded before she ended the call.

...

Natasha was extremely confused as she drove into the parking lot of their store. For one the entire place was filled with people she did not even know would show up. Ideally this was supposed to be a good thing for publicity sake, however, she was more concerned with finding out what exactly was going on here.

Finally Natasha was able to find a spot to park her car. She immediately packed her car, switched it off and got out.

She searched the area for Chloe and luckily she was able to find Chloe locked up in her own car not too far away.

She walked to Chloe's car and she could see that Chloe was seriously panicking. As soon as she saw Natasha her eyes cried out in relief.

"Oh Natasha, finally you're here." she exclaimed as she unlocked her car and Natasha got in.

"Yes I'm here, are you okay?" asked Natasha as she gave her a hug.

"I'm alright now that you're here." replied Chloe sighing.

"What in the world is going on here? I don't remember inviting so many people." said Natasha.

"I hoped that you would have figured out what was going on on your way here." said Chloe.

"I am just as clueless as you are... Is there something serious going on that we don't know about?" asked Natasha.

"It seems that there is because, once I came out of the store to get here I haven't been able to go back, the reports have been asking me several questions that I don't know if I should answer." said Chloe.

"You know, we should stop hiding in here and get to our store." said Natasha seriously.

"You are right about that. I was just waiting for you." said Chloe as she nodded.

"But considering how packed the entrance is by all these reporters and cameras, it's going to be difficult to get in without running into them first." said Chloe, she wasn't ready for this at all.

Sure she was prepared for her photo in the local newspaper and that was it, but now there were several flashing cameras and loud reporters, she really felt like she could faint from how noisy everything was.

"That is true..." said Natasha as she was thinking of a solution, they both needed to be calm before they went out there and asked questions.

"Is the back entrance open?" she asked.

"No, but I have the keys with me." said Chloe.

"Perfect, come on, we can sneak in through the back." said Natasha unlocking her door and stepping out as Chloe did the same.

They carefully snuck behind the building using the left side and no one seemed to notice them.

Chloe hurriedly unlocked the back entrance as they rushed in and she locked the door behind them.

"Now we can think calmly and figure out what the heck is going on." said Natasha as she walked into the main store.

"By the way, this place looks amazing, I forgot that I haven't been here, I've only seen pictures." said Natasha as she looked around and smiled.

"Yeah, you're right, it does look amazing, I'm so proud of how far this project has come. From a simple idea to an actual building." exclaimed Chloe, forgetting her worry for a moment.

"I know the feeling." laughed Natasha.

"How many more minutes till we start the inauguration?" asked Natasha as Chloe checked her watch.

"We still have about thirty minutes." replied Chloe.

"Alright, that's enough time for us to figure out what's going on." said Natasha as the commotion outside became louder to the extent that they could hear it all the way from where they were standing at the back of the store.

"What's going on now?" asked Chloe as she groaned.

"I have no idea." said Natasha as she went to check and she was completely surprised to see the last person she expected to see.

"Isn't that Dominic?!" asked Chloe shocked to see him smiling while trying to avoid the reporters trying to hear a word from him.

"I am just as shocked as you are, wait here." said Natasha as she rushed to the entrance and quickly unlocked the door for him to enter as she locked it quickly once he did.

"Wow, out there is really something else." said Dom as he sighed.

"What the heck are you doing here?" Natasha asked him, she was shocked, confused and more of all irritated, why was he here? Didn't he have work to do?

"Wow, good morning to you too Natasha." said Dom sarcastically as Natasha scoffed. She had no time for this right now, she had much more serious problems to solve and an inauguration to start.

"Good morning Chloe." said Dom as he smiled at Chloe.

"Good morning Dom." she replied with a smile retreating to the back of the store. She wanted to give these two some privacy. She didn't want to be caught in the middle of these two.

"Now can you explain to me what exactly you are doing here?" asked Natasha as they walked away from the entrance.

"First of all, I have to apologize because I think it's kind of my fault that all these reporters are here." said Dom as he smiled sheepishly.

"What do you mean your fault?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.
