"Oh, I'll really miss you Natasha, and that's the truth." said Chloe as she smiled.

"I know you will, and I miss you already, who else would I see and talk to almost everyday?" asked Natasha as she laughed.

"Oh, but I'll be back soon, I promise." smiled Chloe.

"I can't wait for that, but make sure to enjoy your vacation." she smiled.

"I will, and how's Dom?" asked Chloe as Natasha frowned.

"He's fine, he's here if you want to talk to him." she said calming herself down before she threw a tantrum like a three year old.

"Oh really? That would be great." beamed Chloe as Natasha got up and walked to where Dom was sitting.

He quickly pretended as if he had not been eavesdropping the entire time and he looked at his laptop as if he was seriously focused.

"Chloe wants to talk to you." she said almost annoyed as she handed him the phone.

"Oh." he said as he collected the phone.

"Hello Chloe, it's so nice to hear from you, how are you doing?" he asked as he smiled.

"Hi Dom, I am doing great, I just wanted to send you my greetings." she smiled.

"That's really thoughtful of you, I appreciate it, I really do." he smiled.

"And how are Neil and Ethan?"

"They are both fine, Neil can't come to the phone right now, he's busy with Ethan." she replied.

"I see, I'm glad that they are enjoying themselves. I was supposed to have a meeting with Neil tomorrow, but I guess that's cancelled." he laughed.

"Oh yes, about that, I want to apologize, it must seem like we just took off the first chance we got." she said.

"No, it's alright, I get it, if it was me that was going on such a nice vacation I would have left as quickly, even quicker than you guys did. There is nothing more needed than some peace and quiet." he smiled.

"That I agree with you Dom, completely I do, but Neil apologizes for that, he asks that the meeting be rescheduled to next month." she said.

"No worries, I will be ready to meet as soon as he returns." Dom smiled as he noticed Natasha frowning at him.

He started to feel a little bit uncomfortable. Was she frowning because she was upset with him or because he was talking to Chloe? Something told him that it was the latter, she was just fine when they were talking, it was when she asked to speak to him that her mood changed.

Dom had noticed lately that she had instantly become upset whenever he spoke with Chloe. At first he ignored it and thought that maybe it was just her usual mood, but right now, he was starting to really notice it.

At first he thought that she was jealous, but he shrugged it off, why would she be jealous of him? It was not like he liked Chloe? They were just cordial, besides, he had no intention of stealing her friend. However, it seemed that she thought otherwise.

"Thank you Dom." she smiled.

"Don't mention it, I need to go right now, there's some really important things I need to attend to right now." he said quickly.

"Please send my greetings to Ethan and Neil." he smiled.

"I will, alright, take care." she smiled.

"I will, you too, enjoy your vacation." he replied as he handed Natasha her phone and the scowl on her face instantly changed to a smile.

"So Natasha, we should be back next month." she smiled.

"Alright, but I have to say I will miss seeing you and talking to you everyday." she smiled.

"And so will I, before you know it we'll be back, try to enjoy yourself over there as well."

"Don't worry I will, goodnight Chloe." she smiled.

"Goodnight Natasha." Chloe replied as she ended the call.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Dom asked as Natasha just scoffed at him.

"I don't know what you're talking about." she replied.

"I'm talking about why you're upset with me. Did I do something wrong? What did I do?" he asked as she ignored him.

"Wow, how nice Natasha, I don't get it, why are you upset with me? It's not like I told Chloe I was here, neither did I ask her to ask after me." he said as she pretended not to hear him and he sighed.

The end song of Joy's show played as it ended and with it so did the magnetic effect it had on Joy's attention span.

"I really like talking to Ethan." she smiled as she climbed on her mother's lap.

"Me too, I like talking to Chloe too." Natasha smiled.

"I wish that they would come back soon, it's too long." Joy groaned.

"I know my darling, I feel the same way, but one month isn't that long, before you know it, they'll be back here and you can play with Ethan and Pluto again." she said as Joy nodded.

"I can't wait." she giggled with a yawn.

"Look like someone is tired." laughed Natasha and Dom.

"No, no I'm not tired, I want to watch more cartoons!" insisted Joy, she was on holiday, she wanted to be able to stay up late like the adults.

"Alright darling, you can stay up if you want to." she smiled as Joy giggled and ran to get the tv remote as she changed the channel to one of her other shows.

Dom looked at Natasha as she noticed his gaze, their eyes met for a moment as she sneered and looked away.

Dom sighed, this matter was still unresolved, but he did not want Joy to see them arguing, he decided to wait until Joy fell asleep.

It was not long when Joy became drowsy, her eyes were heavy and she was finding it more difficult to sit upright, before she knew it she drifted off into slumber as she fell asleep on the carpet.

Dom and Natasha laughed to themselves. Dom put his laptop aside and carried her off the carpet.

He walked out of the living room, up the stairs, into her room and he tucked her in bed.

He gave her a soft kiss on the forehead before he switched off the lights and walked back downstairs.

"Natasha, we need to talk." he said as soon as he walked into the living room.

"About what?" she frowned.

"Does me being friends with Chloe upset you?" he asked hitting the nail on the head, there was no need wasting time.

"Why would that upset me?" she asked.

"You tell me because I don't know why it would." he said sounding frustrated.

"But I'm not stupid, I notice each time I'm being nice to her you're upset, tell me why?" he asked.

Natasha was silent, she looked away. Clearly she did not want to talk about this but Dom was not going to let this go.

"Look Natasha, didn't we promise to be more considerate to one another?" he asked replied with silence.

"I just want us to live in peace together, and we can only do that if we are honest and tell each other what upsets about the other person upsets us."

"And right now, you being upset with me upsets me, so please just tell me what's on your mind." he said sighing.

"I don't like it when you are being chummy with Chloe okay!" she replied as she looked at him and he was taken aback by the way she snapped.

"Why?" he asked confused.

"I don't know why, maybe because every female friend I've had has been in love with you, let's not even talk about Lia, she would literally kill for you in the past." she said angrily.

"And yes, I know that Chloe's a married woman and she loves her husband, but I still can't allow myself feel at ease knowing that when you're involved things that are not complicated instantly become complicated." she said almost as if she had years of a experience.

Dom found himself unable to speak, now it made sense why she was always so cold. She was afraid of losing her only female friend at the moment. He did not know she felt so strongly.

"Look Natasha, I'm really sorry that you feel that way, I was just trying to be nice to Chloe." he said sincerely.

"You're always nice to women, you should learn your lesson by now, some of them don't take your niceness as just that." she said sharply.

"That's fair, I get it, but I should be the least of your worries." he said.

"Natasha, I don't like it when you're upset with me, I never knew that it seemed that way to you, I'm sorry, honestly I just think that Chloe is a very nice person, she's easy to talk to, I know why you like her." he said softly.
