The Dystopian World (potential story draft

The sounds of angry drivers and yells were heard. A stench was coming out from the sewers, and many office workers rushed and squeezed into the already crowded subways of New York. Along one of the many filthy sidewalks, a young teen around 16-17 was observing the environment surrounding him.

His shoulder length black hair was tied in a small ponytail in the back, covered by the dark hood he was wearing. With yellow cat like eyes, and slim figure, he was quite good looking. Though it was rush hour, thus no one noticed his unusual appearance.

Naoi frowned with disgust, and hurriedly moved away to a discreet location.

He was tasked with guiding events that would destroy the Earth. Not long ago, Heaven's evaluation of Earth was D, 2 grades lower then it normally was. Thus, they decided to make a plan where supernatural disasters would take place, in order to "start anew".

Those that would be able to survive these horrific events would be transported to the new world, and reborn with the blessing of Fate.

Since both Heaven and Hell had favorite incarnations of their own, they nominated the most suitable person that would be leading the events of these events, Naoi. These sides had a variety of Gods/demons of many religions, Christianity's God being the most prominent.

Naoi's parents both had very conflicting personalities. While his father was a very religious and devout person, His mother was an eccentric sociopath that may or may not have been related to many murders. Naoi was an accidental child that was produced after one too many drinks, and his mother Alloy decided to keep the child as a source of entertainment.

Though after he was born, his father Adam was the only one raising him. He was the money maker of the house and made Alloy his responsibility for "taking advantage"and making a "grave mistake",though Naoi was pretty sure his mother purposely seduced Adam for fun.

Even though Naoi and his parents were all mortals, his father had been blessed by the Angel Michelangelo, and his mother was favored by Asmodeus, the Demon of Lust.

In exchange for guaranteeing the safety of himself and his pets, Heaven and Hell would lend him powers and privileges capable of starting such an apocalyptic scene.

That's how the first "Seeker" was born.

It was a cold September morning, the familiar stench of New York was as crisp as ever. Riley used his scarf to shelter him from the harsh cold. His handsome appearance went unnoticed by the bustling crowds.

Pushing back his black hair, Riley sighed as he managed to secure a seat on the subway. He went through his bags and organized the materials needed for today. After moving around a few binders, and checking his things, Riley was content and relaxed.

He decided to rest his eyes for a bit and lean back against the seat, sighing contently.

"Hello? Ah, hello hello!" A loud voice boomed in Riley's ear, prompting him to frown and open his eyes. In front of him, was a holographic screen featuring a handsome boy with striking yellow eyes.

"What-" Riley was cut off.

"Aha, I know you guys are all confused, but honestly...I don't care, so just shut up and listen." Naoi seemed to have lost his patience, as his cat like eyes suddenly turned sharper.

"I am the first Seeker that has been assigned to this mortal realm. Our purpose is to help lead the scenarios and create entertainment for those watching above." Naoi laughed. "You can call me "King", as your lives will all be in my grasp after all."

"What the...is this a prank?" Riley looked around, and saw that the same holographic screens were in front of the other people in the subway.

"If you guys think this is a prank, then I shall prove my authority to you." King seemed to know everyone's current thoughts, a faint light flashed in his eyes.

Another screen popped up in front of Riley, on it, were the following words.

[SCENARIO #1: Rejoice in the glory of the first Seeker, King! Rewards: +10 exp, advancement to the next scenario. Failure: Immediate death. Difficulty: F]

The people on the subway stayed silent, and one highschool girl with brown hair timidly shouted aloud, "Hooray..T-The King is here!" Before shyly cowering in her seat. The rest of the people were about to laugh at her foolishness before their screen changed to a check mark.

"Congratulations to Amy Lee for being the first one to complete a scenario task! Extra rewards include: Pioneer to the New World (Title), +50 exp." King excitedly announced, and suddenly the shy girl who had celebrated suddenly screamed in pain.

"Owwww!" Amy clutched her body, a scorching pain enveloped her. In front of her, the screen said,

[Congrats for leveling up! 4->5! +5 base stats increased. Your title "Pioneer to the New World" lazily accepts you as its new host. Your intelligence has increased by 10!]

Riley still thought it was a wild prank, but a terrible gut feeling filled him as he stood up from his seat.

"I welcome the first Seeker, King." Riley said, his palms sweaty from the bizarre events. The old lady next to him scoffed.

"You young fools, you should be ashamed! This is obviously a prank and a rather intricate one at that!" As she rambled on, Riley didn't pay attention to her. His eyes were focused on the screen in front of him.

[Congratulations for completing Scenario #1! Rewards: +10 exp, advancement to next Scenario.]

A few other people shyly got up and celebrated appearance of King, while other people rudely laughed at their foolishness.

"Honestly, you young lot are so gullible. I wouldn't fall for this even if I was-" An old woman scolding them.

The screen changed back to King, and he was smiling creepily.

"Congratulations to those who have passed the first Scenario! For those who have failed, do not fret, we have a rewards for you too!" King winked. His pale hands tapping on something out of the camera's view.

"System commence, Death to all failed applicants."

At that moment, all the people on the subway that failed the scenario felt an odd feeling.

"What the-" The same old lady clutched her stomach. A maddening pain spread throughout her body, causing her to shake uncontrollably, and make her eyes turn bloodshot. "W-What-" The next moment, her skin became black, as blood poured out of her nose, eyes, and mouth.

As Naoi saw the punishment being carried out, the Gods watching the show grew unhappy at seeing such a display.

[Warning! Many beings belonging to the "Good" faction are angry at your cruel scenario! You have received a 5 minute penalty, proceed now?]

"Aha, it seems I got carried away." Naoi laughed. "Don't worry, i'm not done yet." He turned back to the small camera facing him.

"System commence, kill all murderers, the ones with just reasons are spared." Another wave of screams were heard from the multiple holographic videos surrounding him. In New York, many cars and buses were littering the streets, some rogue vehicles killing pedestrians along the way.

China's situation wasn't any better either, planes were crashing into apartments, and the clean malls were filled with disfigured corpses and blood. Surprisingly, quite a number of people decided to obey Naoi, however this bloody carnage was sure to traumatize some people.

All around the world, chaos at what was happening filled the screens. Even though this scene satisfied most of the Demons, most of the people they had watched over were killed cruelly. Though they didn't care that much about them, it was like someone killing your goldfish that you had for 2 days.

[The Demon, Algol scoffs and demands for a penalty to be given. The angel Jegudiel smirks and laughs. The previous penalty has been retracted.]

"Now it's equal my dear guests. If the mortal you had favored died, do not fret. Many other promising individuals are bound to pop up." Naoi was relieved inside, he had successfully managed to entertain these powerful and fickle beings.
