A caring boyfriend

" Boyfriend? That girl needs to know her place. Why will she call your boyfriend hers?" mom frowned in question. Her eyes took a dark glint.

" She's stronger than I, I guess."

"Hmm." Mom pouted as she walked over to me. " Good luck in your exams, sweetheart," she pecked me on my cheeks.

"Thanks, mom," I gleamed at her.

"Good luck with yours," she glanced at David. " Better don't let anyone take him from you." She cautioned her face in a serious grimace.

" I won't," David vowed, a knowing smile on his face.

I bet he's thinking about the fact I happen to be his mate, and no one can take me from him.

David took my hand in his, and together we left the flat.

My school backpack was slung across his back.

" Where's your backpack?" I asked as we surged down the stairs.

" Mom good morning," I greet his mother who opened their flat door the instant we made to walk past.
