I didn't leave my room the next morning until I'm sure David has gone to another pack meeting. Only then, did I decide to come out from the room before hunger meets me in Jericho.
Hastily putting on my clothes, I head towards the kitchen to prepare a meal.
I know David isn't around, but that doesn't stop me from tiptoeing like a criminal who's attempting a prison break.
I look around to make sure he was not in the house before I finally decided to enter the kitchen.
On the counter is a covered food with a note on it.
"I'm sorry about last night. I know I shouldn't have shouted at you, and neither should I have called you names. I'm sorry about that. I hope you forgive this stupid mate of yours."
" Forgive?"
I scoffed at that.
How can he ask for forgiveness without adding that stupid Alpha's name to it? It's not an apology to me at all. He needs to apologize for trusting the Alpha more than he trusts me.
